I havent played spades since I learned this game......im loving it!!!
its like the NBA and spades is the D-League

I play Bridge which is pretty close to Whist.

Man, I used to play all the time in high school and college.... I've got some serious rust in that regard. But ya, definitely fun...

Not to turn it into a racial thing, and I don't mean it in that sense, but I think it's more of a White/Black thing.

The only people that I know around here that play Whist are Black. Likewise the only people I know that play Bridge are White. You could be right and it could be a North/South game, but that's just my experience.


I've wanted to play Whist a couple times, but I'm still trying to get better at Bridge, and throwing Whist into the mix would just mess me up to no other.

it probaly would, b\c I play Bridge too, you shouldnt try to learn them at the same time.

Well I'm not really learning Bridge, I know how to play the game quite well, just working on new conventions. I just have a feeling going from Bridge to Whist and back again would just screw me up and make me forget what game I was playing. haha
