Does this guy actually have something on us? Like I know he can give the cops our plates but can they really do anything? What am I looking at?

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
So earlier tonight me and some friends were just sitting around looking for something to do. Being stupid teenagers we decide lighting stuff on fire will be a great idea. We drive to a neighborhood park and pour a puddle of gasoline in the middle of the parking lot and light it on fire. Of course what starts out small, gets progressively bigger as my friend starts spraying more bug spray on it. Eventually it gets pretty big. Of course right as we're clearing out some guy comes up to us and writes down our plate #s and tells us to clear out and tells us to expect to hear from the cops. SHIIIIIIIT.

Re: Gaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
A citation and fine.
If one of you has priors, you're looking at possible probation.
That's if you live in a minimal crime area. If you live in a city or large suburb, you're fine.
That said, you and your homeboys need to stop doing that. Somebody could get hurt. Imagine if you burnt down someone's business.Comment

Re: Gaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
Definition: A person commits the crime of reckless endangerment if the person recklessly engages in conduct which creates a substantial risk of serious physical injury to another person. “Reckless” conduct is conduct that exhibits a culpable disregard of foreseeable consequences to others from the act or omission involved. The accused need not intentionally cause a resulting harm or know that his conduct is substantially certain to cause that result. The ultimate question is whether, under all the circumstances, the accused’s conduct was of that heedless nature that made it actually or imminently dangerous to the rights or safety of others.
Dude probably was just trying to scare you by getting plate numbers. Don't sweat it too much. If the cops haven't shown up yet, I doubt they will now.
Still, it's a pretty damn stupid thing to do. Don't you guys have girls in your area to chase?
Take care,

Re: Gaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
Okay....
I'm not gonna get into a full out lecture...it sounds like you kind of understand that what you did is not the brightest thing.
I don't know where you are or what that police force is like...but I'm going to say as long as nothing got burned down...you might be okay as far as a visit from the police. Depends...if the civilian gets nuts..or gets a ball breaking officer involved....he may push it. Easy enough to find you(knuckleheads)
Now...here in N.Y.C......just a couple of months before September 11th....we had a fire in Long Island City that claimed the lives of three of the brothers. It's known as the "Father's Day Fire"...and it started with a couple of kids...fooling around with gasoline in what they thought was a "safe" place to fool around with something that is just not safe...
They were in a loading dock of a large hardware supply house...and the some of the gas they were messing with(almost exactly like you guys..making pools and lighting it) rolled under the roll down gates of the loading dock into the warehouse...the place went up and then a tragic chain of events(propane cylinders stored inside...a BIG no-no in N.Y.C....wound up exploding) three of our guys got trapped in the explosion and were killed.
I'm sure those kids meant no harm.....just teenage mischief......and yeah...the owner should have known better than to store the propane inside(and they were just the little one pound cylinders for soldering torches...but a lot of them).....but it sucks just the same...
I know I said no lecture...but I guess I thought better of it.
Everyone does silly things as kids and young adults........just try and minimize the danger aspect and be careful...for both you and everyone else...
I'm sure every guy on these boards that can look back in his past and say "man was I lucky nothing happened there.....what a dope!" so it's not like you're the first....
Take it easy!....

Re: Gaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
Nah, we got it from a container in one kid's garage.
I'm not as worried anymore. At least if something does happen it isn't anything terrible (hopefully).Comment

Re: Gaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh
So his parents probably paid for it, right?
Doesn't affect you in the least, I was just responding to the person who was asking why you would waste gas. I figured the only reason you would do it is because you guys didn't pay for it.Comment

Oh know, you should be terrified. You need to run before the cops come because you're going to jail for life.Comment
