So today our vaction calendar for 2008 is going around at work. Most groups at my job are 4 to 5 people max. Our group happens to be 8 people, but it's broken down in three groups. My group is three of us, then the other two groups are two with a guy who floats around and can do all three groups work.
Other then the guy who floats, if I am off it doesn't effect what someone in the other two groups do and vice versa. So tell me this, why in the hell does all of our vacation time revolve around each other. If this lady is out in the other group and I am out, it doesn't matter because I can't do her work and she can't do mine, yet when the calendar comes around, I can't take this day off because someone else is off. If I am off and someone calls in sick or what have you it doesn't matter because we can't help each other.
We are the biggest group here. Shoot I've been here almost two years, yet people that have been here a month are going to get better vaction days then me because they are in a smaller group.
