I figure we should start a thread on what inspires us.
Looking at my life right now I really have two inspirations outside my family and all the real heroes (Military, Police, Fire), my friends A.J. and Taylor would have to be at the top of the list. They are both Seniors (I'm a Junior) and they have impacted my life.
Let's start with A.J. I first met Sway, as we call him, awhile ago. I really didn't like him at first and I guess he might have been the same with me. Lot's of people like to make fun of me because it doesn't bother me so they try to throw everything at me that they can, Sway was one of the ones who did that. But as the 07 football season neared, he got alot cooler. Dude started sticking up for me when people would make fun of me. I don't know whether it was my work ethic or just how I always took crap from people and didn't act like it bothered me, but I got his respect. The last days of spring practice in the summer last school year, we pretty much on good terms. Then the accident happened. It rained here all summer in Oklahoma, and like many young strong people around here, Sway took a summer job in the construction business because it was good money. One day after it had rained pretty hard, he was out working and a pipe feel of a forklift and hit him in the leg and it made a huge wound but the worst part was he was pinned under that thing for two long. It turned out that when the wound was in the mud it got infected. He ended up getting the leg amputated. Thus, ending his football career. Now Sway was probably one of the best players we had. He was going to go play college ball somewhere, maybe even DI, he was fast strong and big. What else could he ask for? But after the accident that was no longer a possibility. Did he get his head down, no sir he did not. He worked hard through therapy and stuff and he got a prosthetic leg. Now I'm telling you, when he had long pants on, there was no way you could even tell he had the thing on. Now after all that it is amazing he was able to keep his morale like he did. Which is why he is one of my inspirations. BTW He is going back into surgery soon I don't know what exactly for but please guys keep him in your prayers.
Now, Taylor. I had heard about Taylor for awhile because I had two of her friends in my classes last year but I had never met her until this year. Taylor is in my physics class this year. Now she is a beautiful young girl. What makes her my inspiration is how she is um true to her boyfriend (I think thats how I would put it) Her boyfriend is none other than Mr. Sway that I have mentioned above. I think they hooked up last February and then she was able to go through the horrible accident with him. She supported him and like Sway says "Kept him going". Now with the way some high school girls are this day, jumping from boyfriend to boyfriend doing stuff with them, it amazes me how she stuck with him through all this. Sway could have died yet she still stuck by his side. I just hope one day that I will have that kind of attitude towards my wife. Which is why she is my inspiration.
Now, I'm going through alot of stuff right now, and I felt it would to me better to make a post like this. This was very very personal for me to say something deep like this and I ask you to not make jokes about it, and if you want to, you can also post your inspirations.
