Ebay Question
Ive run into a slight problem and I wanted to hear what others thought. I sold my Ratchet and Clank for the PS3 on ebay about a week ago to someone in Washington, and they purchased the insurance for it. I sent it to them, I always send it Priority with delivery confirmation as well just to cover myself, and according to that the game was delivered on 1/29. Today I received a email from the buyer stating that they just got the game today and there was a case and manual but no disc, and I know for a fact thats complete bs, the game isnt here and I double checked it, just like I always do, and it was there. Do I have anyway of proving this if she tries to go through Paypal to get a charge back or refund? She admits the package arrived, just that the disc wasnt in it and Im slightly concerned that the insurance wont cover this unless it comes down to the package being open when she received it or badly damaged. Ive thought of trying to use the weight to my advantage but I cant seem to find a way to obtain the weight of the Ratchet and Clank game as it would have been with the disc and manual in it, I do know the weight of the package sent was 6.70 oz., so if I could find the weight of the game as well as package and it was 6.70 oz. then I can use that to my advantage to prove my case. Thanks to anyone that can help.Tags: None -
Re: Ebay Question
Yea that is a real tough situation, did you tell the buyer that you know it was in there. Also like Altimus said check the buyers feedback and see if this has happened before.Texas A&M Aggies

Re: Ebay Question
The buyers score is 14 with 100%, the buyers address is unconfirmed through paypal but I was told as long as you cover yourself then you are fine, I really hope that person was right in telling me that.
When I emailed the buyer back I told them that I know for a fact that the disc was in there and I know for a fact it was delivered on 1/29, not 1/31 like she was trying to tell me. I really wish there werent so many scammers out there trying to get something for nothing, it really is unfortunate. Thanks for the advice though.Comment

Re: Ebay Question
Yes you are covered if you're unconfirmed but PP gets really stiff with the proof but you should be good. The buyers score is 14 with 100%, the buyers address is unconfirmed through paypal but I was told as long as you cover yourself then you are fine, I really hope that person was right in telling me that.

Re: Ebay Question
Sounds like a big scame attempt. Since you have the weight, you should be able to prove that a disk had to be in there.Comment

Re: Ebay Question
The following says the shipping weight is .3 pounds. No idea how accurate it is, but seeing as 6.70 oz is .41 pounds, it should help you prove your case.

Re: Ebay Question
Well to finish this story and further confirm that I should never rely on my girlfriend to drop it off for me, this is what happened. Tonight we were going to go out for some Italian at a local spot called Amalfi's, which by the way has terrific pizza if anyone stops by the Portland area, anyways, she was moving a few things around on the seat and suddenly I hear her say some things that I wouldnt be able to repeat here, somehow the disc fell out of the case and was on the seat underneath her gloves. So now I sit here looking like a damn fool but Im sending it to her tomorrow and Ive already contacted her with my tail between my legs apologizing about the screw up. Whats funny is my girl tells me that she didnt open the case, now figure out how the game not only came out of the case on its own but then ducked under her gloves so she couldnt see it, personally I think I pissed her off something fierce that day and she decided to stick it to me for some unknown reason. So now that this is solved a mod can close this, thanks for all the advice fellas, it was much appreciated.Comment

Re: Ebay Question
Yeah, I dont know how it fell out since she tells me she didnt open the case at all, Im still stuck on this. I keep trying to explain to her that the disc didnt magically move from inside the case to on the seat under her gloves but apparently she is hell bent on keeping this story going so Ive given up.Comment
