Re: Happy Birthday, MassNole
Thanks. I take it in just 22 days. I am feeling better now than I did last week, I did really well on the PMBR mock bar and it finally seems stuff is clicking and retaining. Today I am studying the ever so fun Corporations.Comment

Re: Happy Birthday, MassNole
So I get a letter from my alma mater (Saint Michael's College) today. In the past I've received birthday cards from them, so I am thinking that's what this is. No, they are asking me for money for the scholarship fund with some sob story written by a current student how these contributions let her go to SMC.
A few things bother me here. One, when I was at SMC they gave me nearly nothing in scholarships. I got a tuition discount for my private school tuition (my HS may as well be called SMC Prep) and a paltry $2500 or so for some stupid reason. The rest I paid out of pocket. So why I am going to give money to a fund that gave me no benefit at all? Second, it's my birthday, don't ask me for money on that day, if anything send me money. Third, as of right now in terms of schools I've attended, WNEC gets the first crack at any money I may donate. Then my wife's alma mater would get second dibs, then finally SMC.Comment

Re: Happy Birthday, MassNole
I literally laughed out loud when I read that line.
My alma mater asks for money all the time, too. I give what I can...maybe $50 or $100 a year. Every bit counts, right?Comment
