    The weirdest thing happened...!

Before I tell u what happened, let me just say that I don't believe in ghosts or any spiritual force. It makes me laugh when peple tell stories about spirtual experiences, I'm really skeptical and usually say that all that ghost thing is bull**it!
OK, some background: My grandparents lived in their last apartment since 1989. They liked to watch "The young & the restless" on channel 3 on the TV every day, and when I visited them I had to watch it too
In 1998 my grandfather died and my grandmother lived in that apartment alone, until late 2006 when her condition got worse and she was put in a special home for sick and dying old people, because she needed some1 to take care of her for 24 hours (she had cancer at that time and her condition deteriorated). She died on March 2007, and after 6 months my wife and I moved to her apartment.
So yesterday I was watching the re-run of the Allstar game on channel 56 (local sports channel) when suddenly the channel changed to 5 --> 4 --> 3! And guess what was aired at the same time there? "The young & the restless"!!! I was like WTF?!?!? So I took the remote controller and tried to change the channel back to 56 but it wouldn't respond. I had to switch off the converter (or whatever u call it) and turn it on to be able to change the channel back to 56. Now, Before u try to give me the regular excuses - here are more facts: The remote controller wasn't close to me, I wasn't sitting on it or something, my wife wasn't around, the TV and converter are working fine, there wasn't any storm outside or crazy weather or something like that.
As I said, I don't believe in all that ghost stuff, but I don't have any logical explanation for what happened...

Let me be the first to say that I believe you, and your story instantly gave me chills. That's freaky stuff, man. Let us know if anything else happens.

Thanks dude. Again, I'm the first guy to tell u that the ghost thing is bull**it! I watch TV shows about it and always laugh at how stupid people can be. But still...

I don't think that's anything to be afraid of. It's your grandparent's way of saying they are around you - as if they are guardian angels. It's really a nice gesture!

That's an explanation. Unfortunately I'm too skeptical to accept it.

I'm probably a skeptic too, but that would have freaked me out.

              I have a similar story.

First, the background. My dad died on September 16th of 1995 due to brain cancer. He had it for 3 years before it finally got him. During the last few months of his life, my dad was very weak and needed constant care at home. Because insurance wouldn't pay for a nurse 24/7, the whole family had to pitch in and sit with him throughout the day and night.

My grandfather (his dad) would sit with him during the day and during the last couple of months, would actually have to spoon feed him because of how weak he was.

Fast forward to September 15th of 2000. I was living in Wilmington, NC at the time and got a call from my mom that I should probably come home to Charlotte because my grandfather was in the hospital, not doing so well, and wasn't going to be around much longer.

I drove to Charlotte the next morning (the 5 year anniversary of my dad dying) and we all sat with him at the hospital all day long and late into the night. Everyone left and went home at around 10pm that evening.

The next morning, we drive to the hospital and check in at the nurse's station to see how he was doing. The nurse on duty told he us was doing fine and that his son spent the night with him and helped to spoon feed him.

Now, my grandfather's only other son is my uncle who lives in California and he wasn't in town yet. So we figure it was someone else visiting him and the nurse assumed it was his son. My grandfather had a lot of friends, young and old.

My grandfather died that day (September 17th), and at the funeral, we asked around to try to figure out who sat with him the night of the 16th. Nothing. Everyone we asked said it wasn't them.

Did I mention my grandfather and father also had the same birthday? And the night of the 5 year anniversary of my dad's death, the nurse tells us "his son" sat with him all night and helped feed him?

I still get chills thinking about that...

Because of experiences I had when my grandparents passed away, I completely believe you. And like others have said, it's nothing to be afraid of. To me, it was somewhat comforting to know they were still with me...

Actually I have BA in communication and management, and we had a TV studio as well as Radio studio in the college itself. We also had to make a film outside school as a project.
But I'm not sure my story is THAT original. I mean, People have more amazing stories.

I kinda believe in stuff like this.. not that anyone "physically" was around, but my mom said that a day or two before my grandmother passed ('92), in the middle of the night, she smelled some perfume that my grandmother wore. She had the same smell come back the day my grandfather passed ('04). No other time has my mom come across that smell.. just strange

                            Re: The weirdest thing happened...!

I lived in an apartment and on a few occassions I heard my name being whispered and it would get louder as I went towards the closet. Of course nothing was there. I was working long hours and finishing up my accounting degree at the time so I though it was sleep deprivation.

Anyway I subleased the apartment to a friend(without mentioning anything to him) when I got a job and moved away. I came back to town about a month later and he was asking me what the H was up with the apartment. He kept hearing his named being whispered and something was pinning him to the bed one night and squeezing his nose.

I am not sure about ghosts and stuff, but I believe there are many things out there of which man has little understanding.
