So I am trying to book a trip for after the bar exam (which I should be studying for right now). My wife tried booking a trip earlier today but it said transaction failed. So I said I'll take care of it. I call their 800 number and try to do it over the phone. They try over the phone and it fails. She then does something else, it fails. No big deal, but then on a lark I decide to check my online statement just in case. Good thing I did, these ****ing ******s placed over $2000 worth of charges on my credit card. Yes, $2000 worth of charges onto my credit card, actually closer to $2200.
I have now been on the phone for over an hour trying to rectify this between Orbitz and Bank of America. This is time I had planned on studying, but no, because of this crap I am wasting my time dealing with this, time I don't have. Anyone wondering why I have time to post this, I am sitting on hold with Orbitz right now, and this is about the only thing keeping me from a profanity laced tirade that would make Andrew Dice Clay blush.
Seriously, they put $2200 worth of charges onto my credit card and I am now spending this much time rectifying their ******* mistake. I am so angry I am shaking right now. How, how does this happen?
Then to make things more annoying when dealing with the Bank of America rep, I said "So what do I need to do to get this sh!t off my my card." In which I was met with a considerable amount of attitude. Gee, I'm sorry when over $2200 of charges are inappropriately put on my card I am a little angry. This was after waiting on hold for nearly 15 minutes with them.
What do you know, I am about to hit 30 minutes on the phone with Orbitz. I have no lost 90 minutes of study time for what should have been one simple, 5 minute transaction over the internet.
I am thinking my first phone call tomorrow morning will be to the Consumer Protection division of the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office. This is just ridiculous. All I wanted to do was book a vacation.
Oh for anyone wondering, we decided to go to Las Vegas for 3 days after the Bar Exam. Good suggestions from my previous thread.
