What do you think about them? work?

I ask because my girl doesn't think she is going to be rehired (she is a professional ballet dancer) so she will have to go to another city and be hired with another theatre.

I think it can work for us but I am just wondering what experiences any of yall have had with it. Just trying to prepare myself for it.

I think it will depend on the two of you. If you each are true blue then it might work. A girl in a new city that misses her boyfriend could be quite vulnerable however. I would prepare for the worst. If the two of you secretly hook up with other people and pretend to still miss each other then you should realize that there is no point to the relationship.

Just like I told Marisol Nichols in our one college class together, "it just wont work" (j/k, but we did have a class together)

My fiance' and I have been apart for 2 years now due to schooling. She is in Athens OH finishing her internship in Psychology. Myself, still here in Indiana and had to stay behind due finishing school and starting my new job.

Our long distance relationship is fine. May sound cheesy and I may be in direct violation of a man-law, but when you find that someone, your soulmate, that you just can't live without, then no matter what you are challenged with and no matter what you have to endure, love will pull you through and love will survive.

i'm bawling over here after reading that....heheh

on a more serious note...

it definitely can work. Will it be harder ? yes it will.....trust is the number one issue....trust can't just be good in these relationships....it needs to be great to even have a chance to survive.

My wife of 2 years and I spent a year and a half long distance....

It's hard, it's painful, and it's a lot of work. But if it's meant to be than it's meant to be, simple as that.

They usually don't work, but in rare instances they can. The least you can do is go for it, and if it doesn't work it doesn't work.

It can be hard... I've been in two. The first one, was my g/f in senior year of high school. I was scheduled to head to DC for college, she was off to Texas. I actually went through a period of depression as we neared graduation because I knew that more than likely our relationship wasn't going to last the separation, at least not at that age... The second one, well, I can't front; I wasn't strong enough... Temptation was everywhere, and I came to the conclusion that if I was feeling all this temptation so strong, then the relationship must not be that high on my priority list... I felt like an ***, but I didn't want to string shorty along.
