I drive a WRX and have been nailed with like 5 tickets since I have gotten. Everytime I get pulled over I get one.

No warning with a blue WRX I guess.

My worst was doing like 95 in a 60. I thought the cop was gonnna have a heart attack. He was just screamin at me.

I would reccomend you get a lawyer for cheap, sometimes they can even appear for you so you dont have to go, or just show up with one. That usually gurantees getting the smallest fine and infractions, but you pny up for the lawyer.

I cant belive your cool with losing your license for 60 days. I wouldnt be able to do that.

I drive a crappy Saturn and I'd catch crap from the cops going 95 in a 60...that's 35 over, they don't like that usually

And nothing is cheap for me. I'm a jobless college student just trying to get by.

Mine was $250+ for 19 over in a 55 MPH on the highway, different state though so I guess yours helps out the people and doesn't want to make them pay a ton.

I don't drive often at all. Heck, I dont even have a car... I got both tickets in my mom's explorer. I go to school on a pedestrian campus with a decent bus system, so I don't need a car.

Even in the summer I won't really need my license. I'm going to be living with my uncle (about 3 hours away from home), and I'm going to be working with him at his job... so he'll be able to drive me where I need to be. Hopefully, though, I won't be without a license for too long into the summer.

I will never understand why people have the need to drive 20/30/40 mph over the speed limit. Put yourself at risk, fine, but when you put other people at risk that's just irresponsible.

It's on a highway where NO ONE does below 55. The police officer even told me that if I'm going 59 or 60 I wont even get their attention on that road (with a 40 MPH speed limit).

I looked down at my speedometer as I was passing the police car and it was 65... so ya, I was over... but I truly dont believe I was 37 over. He got me a stop-watch, and I refuse to believe those are that accurate.

MattG, can you comment on the stop-watch between 2 lines method? Is it truly that accurate?

My worse one is 110 in a 55. Cop said he paced me. No way he paced me because I was doing 140 Guess they were afraid I was going to run because they called in the helicopter.

Unrelated: I went to a Pennywise concert out here about 5 or 6 years ago...pretty good time. A guy even jumped off the balcony and landed on the stage and broke some sort of body part...probably his leg the way it bent backwards as security drug him away!

Related: Pulling over right way vs. "finding a safe place." I've had people do some crazy things looking for a safe place so I usually recommend pulling over ASAP. I always tell people that my car and lights are what will make us safe. Yes cops do get hit and we appreciate you thinking about that...but when a car keeps going for a bit we tend to get a little suspicious/nervous. Are you drunk? Are you going to take off? Are you throwing dope out the window and loading up your Glock. It might sound funny but I've seen them all either in real life or on training videos.

As for the COPs comment maybe he was on last week and wanted to know if you saw him. If anybody watches almost every week/every episode they have Vegas on. They rode with me over a month and so far almost everyone else on my squad/shift has been on but me. This week it's Travis, Evan and Shawn. Next week it looks like Travis again. No love I guess.

I wish you would have been riding alongside of me the other night Matt... I got into my first pursuit. Ended up traveling 10.7 miles in 4 minutes, chasing a 2007 Kawasaki Crotch Rocket. We averaged around 130 mph on a two lane road, with a TON of traffic. I mean, the traffic was DENSE. Wish I had a dash cam... Cops would have enjoyed it I'm sure.

In the end, he couldn't shake me, so he pulled over. He said he thought about his 18 mo old daughter, and couldn't fathom wrecking and leaving his wife and child behind. It was crazy.

really? I got a ticket that was $10 for going 80 in a 70 mph zone on the interstate. The actual ticket was $210, but only the $10 could be contested. It was the court fees on top of that were $200. What a lame way to get money.

Were you behind the wheel for that, WTF? I know it's dangerous and crazy, and I'm glad he pulled over, but man that musta been a rush! I can't imagine going 130 while chasing someone....

Yeah, I was behind the wheel. My uncle is my FTO (Field Training Officer) and he was yelling and screaming, he was pumped. It was a RUSH. Its the highlight of my life for sure, haha. I ended up working 19 hours that day, because right after that, I had to go to Red River Gorge, in search for a body. I ended up finding it, and it took us until 930 the next morning to extract it out of there. Crazy night, haha.

My truck can barely accelerate once I get going 60 so it's not a problem. Even if I could, I use my head and value the $300 I would have to spend on a ticket.



I know this one lady, this cop in our town pulled her over for doing 66 in a 65. He only wrote her a warning though

Somehow, I evaded tickets while I had my 02 blue WRX.

I've been solid with my black 05 Legacy 2.5 GT for the last few years. The blue definitely stands out.

I'm thinking of getting a WRX again though but I don't think I want to go with the blue again. Not sure if I'll go with the WRX though, I enjoy the Legacy.
