    Searching for a job

Anyone had success with Monster, Career Builder, Craigslist, etc?

I graduate in May, and probably will do some traveling this summer, but I would like to have something lined up for August-September. Have to pay off some student loans.

I had a paid internship last year in Seattle, that I can likely go back to full-time, but I want to look elsewhere and see what I can find. I really have no idea what I want to do either. Working in sports is always a dream...I'm not that money driven, but I'm working for a reason...I have experience with marketing, PR, advertising, and that whole thing...I also have experience with planning, community outreach, and business administration...

Any advice would help. Thanks guys.

    Re: Searching for a job

First let me say...it's not easy. I honestly think your internship is going to be the best bet. Your school should have job fairs and that sort of thing where recruiters will come out and try and find you. Just hit those up and see what happens.

The internet websites are very, very, very difficult to use and pinpoint good opportunities. I honestly had the best luck with craigslist and that is how I found my job.

It sounds like you have a pretty good resume going so that should make the process easier

I had a piece of paper with my name on it

      Re: Searching for a job

I stay off monster and career builder sites. I work in sports, and hit up the websites of colleges for listings, or the NCAA career posting website. I myself will be looking for a new job soon after my internship here is done. I had an internship at Davidson last year, and after graduating, came to ECU for a 1 year internship on top of that.

Time to make the big bucks now.
