    Shaving discussion

I usually shave once a week. Since I'm blonde my face hair is bright and not so hard. I started shaving when I was 18, so u can tell that I can't really grow a beard. I prefer using a manual razor than electric razor because I have sensitive skin and the elctric razor irrtates my skin.
I usually use a non-alcohol aftershave because of my sensitive skin.

I use electric. A real razor irriates my skin on my neck reall bad. I still can't grow a full beard as I have a few small patches that won't grow.

      I hate shaving.

If I want to be smooth, I have to shave every day. So I usually sport a beard and just keep it trimmed pretty close. I do shave my mustache every day... very self-conscious about having "the dirt-stache."

I use electric because strait-edge irritates my skin and the whole process just takes so long with shaving cream and cleaning up and whatnot.

Sometimes I use Lectric Shave (pre-shave stuff), but I don't really notice much of a difference.

I use the Gillette MIII triple blade manual razor. This is the best razor that I found bar none. I have been using it for years and is really the only razor that doesn't kill my skin!!!!

For all of u with sensitive skin, use non-alcohol aftershave, it's better for your skin. I think my aftershave is Davidoff, not sure. I have only one without alcohol and I put it only after shaving. BTW I've never bought an aftershave by myself! I've always got it as a gift for birthday or when some1 came back from abroad. I think I have enough of this stuff for the rest of my life without needing to buy one by myself

Same here, and I use their shaving foam too. I find it better than the gel.

For every guy who says shaving with a blade irritates his skin, buy a shower mirror and shave in the shower. Keep your shaving cream and razor (I'm partial to the Gillette Fusion) in the shower all the time, and shave after you've washed your body and hair.

Your beard is soft as hell from the heat and steam, and so is the shaving cream. Your razor will just glide over your face, and you'll get the closest shave possible with zero irritation.

                Take care,

I hate shaving for the life of me, and I'm already developing the "five o'clock shadow." If I was super rich, the first thing I would do is hire someone to shave my face every day. That's how much I hate doing it. But at the same time, I don't like having a beard...

But when you think about it, I would much rather shave every day than go through half the things chicks have to do!

There you have it... been doing this for the past 5 years and it works like a dream! My beard grows in too thick for an electric razor, and I would often get razor burn from needing to shave every day once I got out of college. I used to use the Mach 3, but got sick of spending so much on blades. Now I just buy disposable razors (Gillete I think?) and since shaving in the shower they work just fine. Might not be as close as more expensive razors but it gets the job done. Worrying about getting the closest shave humanly possible every time you shave is often what leads to irritation.

Granted, I still don't like shaving... I would definitely keep a close trimmed full beard if my wife would let me. Oh well... at least she likes my neatly trimmed goatee which makes shaving much easier. I had it when I met her, so she basically wants me to keep it for life!

shaving in the shower is some of the best advice i've received. I had to dry shave the other day for the first time in years and man was it painful.

I used an electric for years but I recently found a moisturizing shaving cream that isn't foamy. I don't get any irriation and now I love having a smooth face.
