    Some valuable info for you T-Mobile Customers

    Yeah so this is kinda a rant, but this could be useful info for anyone with T-Mobile or any other cellular company.

    So i cancelled my T-Mobile on 12/10/07. Kinda awhile ago, but whatever. I recently was made aware that the only way to not get hit with a cancellation fee is if you have moved to an area were there is no service. So I called there customer supports telling them that its unfair I was never made aware of this and that if true it not my fault to pay $400 in cancellation fees.

    Its pretty simpe here. They didn't care and told me theres nothing they could do. I hate T-Mobile with the passion, kind of always have since I got my phone last year.

    Just wanted to let everyone here that will ever be in this situation know that there is a way to save some money and have a better service.

    Have I mentioned that T-Mobile is scum.

      Don't take there side hahaha. There the bad guys.

        Not defending them but all cell phone companies are like that. If you get a phone and sign a contract, it's in there plain as day about early cancellation fees. That's why when my current contract ends, I will not be renewing. It's always good to leave the options open.

          I understand the ETF I work in a Verizon store. Did you read through my post?

            Call the Consumer Protection division of the Massachusetts Attorney General's office and complain. I'd love to tell you more but that could get me in a lot of trouble.

              After reading my post I didnt really articulate my point well.

              To not pay an ETF you can have it waived due to change of address to an area where there is no service. I wasn't aware of that until recently and now I'm pissed cause I could of saved $400.

                    Working at a Verizon store, you SHOULD of know about this. Every company has this in their contract. Now a days, I think its more about moving to a different country, but it still states in the contract that if you move to a location with no service, you can cancel.

                    I wish that every Customer Rep is a good honest citizen and would tell you this, prior to you canceling, but if the company can make an extra $400, why would they? Its your duty to know what your contract states. Thats why if you don't read them, like me, just ask a ton of questions.

                      You're not seriously complaining that a company isn't telling you the little tricks that take money out of their pockets, are you? They thrive on people paying these cancellation fees lol

                      I'd be pissed at spending the 400 bucks too, but it's not T-Mobile's job to tell me these things. Cell phone companies are the devil and intentionally make things difficult on us lol

                        HOLY... $400??!! Is that right? I've never known any cellular carrier to charge more than $200.

                        Are you sure it's only for cancellation? Did you do it through a mom and pop store or directly through T-Mobile??
