 Re: OS Off Topic

Yep, I'm still in a situation where I can leave a job and find a new one. I don't have kids (yet), mortgage or debts. Better for me to find a new job in which I can work for years than get stuck in a job I can't stand one more day. It's the last time I do it, of course. Next job is gonna be as permanent as possible. My Specs:

 Re: OS Off Topic

Well my appointment went well today

The pressure in my left eye (the one with glaucoma) is at a very healthy 10! This is the best my left eye has been since before I got stricken with this. Unfortunately most of my sight in the left eye has been robbed completely. All I can really see are flashes of light or big blobs of light and shadows.

 It sucks....

Oh and the hospital I go to is one of those university hospitals so you get medical students working there. The one medical student I had looking at my eyes today was a very shy young asian woman. She seemed very tentative at it and while I wouldn't say she was lost I would definitely say that she was a little out of her element. It was kinda neat hearing my eye specialist talking about my left eye showing a perfect example of certain things and how you can see this and that very definitively and clearly.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

 Re: OS Off Topic

 So I just wasted today.

Two weeks ago I left my guitar at a place near me called Pickers Supply so that I could get a replacement part installed into it. After my class ended at 2 PM today, I went to Pickers to see if it was ready yet, and I was informed that they had sent it to a different area guitar shop, Apple Music, because they at Pickers weren't able to fix it and Apple is an official dealer for the manufacturing company of my guitar (Fender). I then go to Apple, and they tell me that the guitar will be ready in an hour.

I chill around downtown for an hour windowshopping and whatnot, and after about 70 minutes doing that I get a call on my cell from Pickers, saying that the manager of Apple came by his store to tell the guys at Pickers to call me to say my guitar was fixed and waiting for me at Apple. I then go to Apple, and one of the guys there tells me that my guitar is not in fact fixed yet, despite what the guys at Pickers have told me. Apple's manager was not in the store at this point.

 Color me confused.Comment

There's just something so unnatural about getting to work at 4am. I've been doing it for 3 weeks now...and I thought I was getting used to it...but this morning proved otherwise. That bed was so damn comfy and the alarm clock so easy to temporarily silence thanks to the wonderful invention known as the snooze button. Giant sized Red Bull, you are my friend.Comment

I work until noon every day. Every now and again, I can leave early but only if I get all of my post show work done. I work about 15 minutes down the road so I'm usually home no later than 12:30pm every day.Comment

Dude, I'm willing to get up 4am every day for this kind of hours. I always say that I don't mind starting early as long as I get home early.
