Cool water gives your mouth a better feeling anyway and I use Listerine so I don't need warm water to kill germs.Comment

I've always been told that warm or hot tap water is more likely to contain bacteria in the first place since the water potentially sits still in the water heater for hours and bacteria can develop in there. That's why you should never drink warm tap water. It's what I've been told anyway.Comment

Mostly warm water but it doesn't really matter. It's not like I won't brush if I must use cold water.
And out of respect of people that I visit I always use cold water. I don't want to use their hot/warm water.
I live in an apartment so I don't pay for water. Not an issue for me but I realize it's something others pay for every month."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
