    That's a lot iof drinks!
Do you plan on that much, or do you just start out with the intention of having a few?

I hear you completely on that but the thing is my friends really hardly ever drink but I think most guys in their 30's almost always have some beer at a football game. I know that I could just say no but I never usually have the willpower. I think the ultimate thing that may end my drinking though is, as Danny Glover would say, "I'm getting too old for this sh**", LOL. Honestly now after having drinks the next day is pretty crappy and even the day after that isn't usually too good. I don't really get hangovers per se but feel so tired I want to die. That may very well be what ends up making me stop for good more than anything else. Because it's fun when you do it but ruining two other days really makes you question if it's worth it.

Yeah it's a lot, but for one I'm a big guy, about 260...and for two i've been drinking since I was a kid and lastly, that is over the course of about 7 or 8 hours so it's like 3 or 4 drinks an hours usually. But yeah I know, it's crazy and way too much, the problem is for me though is that it's like potato chips, I can't just eat a few, I continue to munch on the bag. And don't say, only keep xx amount stocked, because the only time I ever drank and drive in my life is when I did that when I lived in Texas (albeit it was only a couple of blocks but still). Now whenever I drink I have WAY more on hand than I need to avoid that situation.

Oh and Pete to answer your question, I don't ever plan to just have a couple, because I know myself and I know I won't do it. If I start drinking I plan to drink the rest of that day. I make sure I don't have to go anywhere or need anything and sit down, fire up the 360 or HDTV and just begin sipping.

            Re: Alcoholism

My problem was once I did have a the first drink I really did not know what would happen. Many times I'd stop after a few drinks, like a social drinker. But other times I'd intend to have few, was unable to stop and I'd get into bad situations or blackout. So I had to stop drinking.

It's probably a good thing you did, because I was similar to that but I kept on going and now I can manage it better. Which is probably not a good thing because you keep on doing it, albeit it's more manageable.
