Even though I may not have known him this sucks hard, R.I.P.
Scary to think with summer around the corner this may not be the only OS brother we lose.

Damn...can't really say much more than that. Very very sad.

Was anyone ever able to figure out what his name on OS was?

            Very sad news, RIP Gary.

MrScary, let me know what his Forum name was and if you have a picture of him, we can make a post on the home page and if the family wants to set up a link for donations/support, where to send flowers/condolences, I will make sure it is included.

wow, crazy stuff. It's a shame that you can't be a night owl, or work an overnight shift without worrying about random violence, whether it be robbery as a motive or just plain fun for some of these psychos. Granted this could have still happened at 3 pm, but at 3 am there are many more crazies lurking in the shadows.

                    Re: Sad News.

Sad to hear another young adult go down to random gun violence. And looking at his picture, it's hits me even harder that this was a young educated black man. When I was younger I was always told that my chances of survival before I was 25 was low because I was black and I lived in an black urban area(South Side Chicago). I always thank God for helping me live this far(I'm 35 now). But looking at his picture puts what was told to me into perspective.

Irvington, New Jersey is a black urban area and it has a huge murder rate due to the high drug activity that's been there for some years. From the looks of it, Gary wasn't a drug dealer nor a gang banger BUT still lost his life. Unfortunately, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Something needs to be done about this because for crime and drugs to fester in that area for a long time is no coincidence. The city of Irvington is not doing what they are suppose to and someone from the federal level needs to step in and get a handle of the situation.

                    R.I.P. Gary

I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

Sadly this kinda stuff is too frequent.

Last month my neighbor, And Many Philly OS'ers who watch the news will know the story because it was all over the news. Anyway my neighbor Sean Conroy was beaten to death by multiple HS students at 3 in the afternoon on a subway platform 1 block from city hall.(13th & Market for the philly OSers) When 1 was caught, he remorselessly confessed it was because him and his friends thought it would be fun to do, to attack a random guy. They are brought up to think that attacking someone with your "posse" is a cool and fun thing to do. Random Violence is a big problem, especially in urban areas.
