    Kimchi

    Anyone else eat it?

I've been dieting pretty hard the last 2 months for summer and I was introduced to this stuff about 6 months ago. This stuff is addictive as hell. It's basically fermented cabbage with lots of other vegetables and spices and is a staple in Korea.

It's filling but low in calories and I must say I'm hooked. I'll add some grilled or baked tilapia or tuna to it and it makes an awesome meal..especially if you are trying to eat healthier or drop some fat.

My ex-roommate is Korean so I've had my fair share of kimchi. Not too bad at all.

Care to post a recipe for it? It sounds good and I am always looking for good meals to add to the rotation.

I have been to Korea a couple of times and tried it. It's not bad but could be considered a little hot for some tastes. Try it once I say.

I love it. I love pretty much all Korean food. My favorites are yakimondu, and dol sop bebibbop. Im pretty sure those are spelled wrong though.

The stuff can stop an elephant dead in its tracks by its smell alone, but I love it.

I love AUTHENTIC Korean BBQ so my Korean buddy and I go to this awesome little place in Chicago and when the Kim Chi comes we basically fight over it...Its really good stuff once people get passed the smell

I'm sure you can. It's one of the most widely eaten foods in Korea.

I'm a mailman, and let me tell you..we deliver alot of express packages from Korea and I think it is the Kimchi that smells like vomit!(sorry, JMO) The truth, is we deliver the freakin' Korean stuff first because it smells so bad and fouls up the truck. And it takes something real bad to make a mailtruck stink!

being korean i know some great dishes. if you take a wok and fry up some kimchi with sesame oil (won't work with any other kind) and some seame seed and rice that is some good ****. not that rice and kimchi by itself is bad. also if its a little hot for you or for your little ones you can mix rice and kimchi into a bowl of warm water. its like a cheap soup.

glad to hear others enjoy this. let me know if you want some more authentic kim chi dishes
