Me > Kobe Bryant in the clutch

Well that MAY be a bit of exaggeration lol but im feeling pretty good right now...

In the past THREE league games ive played in, ive won the game on a 3 pointer....my last 3 league scores are 81-80, 78-77, 85-84....

its funny b\c theyve al seemed to end the same way....we get a rebound, I run down to the left corner, and everybody plays for the drive..they kick it out to me and swish!! nothing like the feeling of winning a game...three times lol

Yeah. Not a problem at all. I was kind of joking myself. It seems as though you have some pretty good clutch skills yourself too. I am horrible in the clutch.

Pretty impressive! Are you playing in an AAU or YMCA league or what?

I used to have decent handles and jumpshot, and I remember catching fire in one game when I played AAU. I missed my first 3 or so shots, but then I hit like 11 straight from 3 point land despite beeing double teamed. One of the guys on the other team said it was the most dominant performance he had ever seen, and that they had considered triple teaming me! This only happened a couple of times, where I would catch fire and be unstoppable, but it is definitely something to be proud of.

On the other hand, I remember playing against Ray Allen when he was at Hillcrest. He was the best player I've ever seen. I'm 6'5 and weighed about 225 at the time, and I was in incredible shape. He blew past me so many times that by the time they switched me off of him he had like 25 points, and I was in foul trouble. I don't remember how many he finished with, but I do know that no one else was able to contain him very well.

          .

Congrats bro, i recently had a buzzer beater game winner when we were down for the whole game and that was our lead, except mine was an offense rebound put back. A 3 would be extremely hard in the clutch since my range varies from 15-17 Feet.

24th can hit a jumpshot so the Knicks don't have a need for him.

The Hell? That's an incredible stat line for a rec league. 20 minute halves or what?

I loved looking for my name in the points, assist leader lists.

haha Yeah, that's what I do too. I don't really let stats effect the way I play, but I like seeing how I've done at the end, especially in assists, since that's not something that's typically kept in record books.

I put together a small (4 team) summer league last summer, it was local with a lot of guys who played in HS, some who are playing Juco, and a few guys in Division 2 hoops. Not nearly as competitive as true city leagues, but still fun nonetheless. We had refs, kept stats, video taped games and even had a website (the link is in my sig). We have highlight films, game summaries and stats on the site.

My best game was the final championship game of our double elimination tournament, I had 17 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds. The highlight film for that game is the first one on the website. I'm the big, unathletic white kid on the green squad who played Center on defense (after watching clips from the game, pretty terrible defense) and PG on offense.

Ever since I blew out my back senior year of HS, I've been pretty mediocre, but leagues like this are always fun, and the closest I can get to that true competition I had back in my HS days.

Did you say your league had a website, 24th? I wanna check it out.
