Teacher Jim Piculas does a magic trick where a toothpick disappears and then reappears.

Piculas recently did the 30-second trick in front of a classroom at Rushe Middle School in Land 'O Lakes.

Piculas said he then got a call from the supervisor of teachers, saying he'd been accused of wizardry.

"I get a call the middle of the day from head of supervisor of substitute teachers. He says, 'Jim, we have a huge issue, you can't take any more assignments you need to come in right away,'" he said.

Piculas said he did not know f any other accusations that would have led to the action.

The teacher said he is concerned that the incident may prevent him from getting future jobs.

Wait...how is a simple illusionist trick wizardry?

I guess this guy has been a wizard all this time and I didn't know

Wow. This didn't happen to be a special class, right? Because that is the ONLY way I can see that happening.

Magic is obviously the tool of the devil...

Kinda funny that it happened in the Orlando area where the basketball team's name is the Magic.

This also doesn't do much to refute stereotypes about the South.

Imagine if he had made that toothpick appear behind one of the student's ears. He probably would've been arrested for sexual harrasment, as well.

I'm just glad Jon Herbert died with dignity before we could burn him alive for his wizardly transgressions against our young.

Sounds like they had good cause to fire the man. I mean how dare he try to entertain students with a simple magic trick, what kind of monster is he.

I have to assume this was real magic, rather than some sleight of hand garbage. Otherwise it doesn't make sense. Now if he's legitimately a wizard, I'm all for firing him/burning at the stake. I also fully endorse the hunt for more who display such witchcraft.
