I found out a little interesting thing about the stimulus checks and direct deposit. If you used Turbo Tax or some other E-file program and had them deduct the cost of the E-file from your rebate and had direct deposit you will receive your stimulus in a check rather then direct deposit. If you paid for the E-file up front you will still get it direct deposited.

finally the IRS site is showing my check of $1299 to be deposited on May 16th. we got $999 instead of $1200 for married couples because we made to much I guess.

Yeah some of you guys check the irs site because there are some things apparently that wasn't said to us before.

I think the Washington post also said something to the effect that this is a load off of your 2008 return.

finally the IRS site is showing my check of $1299 to be deposited on May 16th. we got $999 instead of $1200 for married couples because we made to much I guess.

Yup we are in the same boat. The threshold was a household income of $150,000. We're going to get $700 back IIRC.

Kinda miffed at the amount me and my fiance got. From everyone we asked and talked to, I was under the impression that I was recieving $600 and my fiance was receiving $900 (herself and our child). However, I got $300 and she got $600. I guess a lot of people are upset about the amount they recieved, as a lot of people were under the impression they would recieve more.
