I visited Hawaii for the first time and loved the resorts near the ocean especially the food and the drinks. The ocean water was a little colder than I would have liked but there are so many water sports options available to choose from. If you ever want to visit a great vacation destination and love water sports and sun, the Hawaii islands are a great option. We rented a jeep to drive to Hana and visited some of the great waterfalls and rain forest along the way. The highway to Hana has many hair pin turns and is very narrow in some stretches and the drive is challenging and long, but do not let this discourage you because it is well worth it. We flew to Hawaii from LAX and the flight time was only about five and one half hours. It is expensive but you must spluge and open your wallet at some point, right?

Not everything went well though. Some thug stole my sister's wallet at the airport in Los Angeles. Everthing in the wallet was lost including drivers license, several hundered dollars in cash, credit cards and checks. -

The ocean water around the Hawaiian Islands is typically around 78, that's bath water. Heck, anything above 68 is bath water in my book.
If you think Maui was beautiful then you should give Kauai a try some time in your life. The pace on Kauai is slower than Maui, but it is without a doubt the most beautiful place I've ever seen.Comment

I did not see many freaks, but there were many women with gorgeous bodies on the beach. It would be nice if it were possible to take some home, lol. I even met some people from Poland there. Can you imagine flying to Hawaii from Poland? That is one long flight. Due to a drought some of the water falls were dry which was a dissapointment. If you ever go to Hawaii, be sure to explore the ocean and reefs. Otherwise you miss a great experience. Along the beach there are places where you can sign up for snorkling and scuba.
I thought about buying some vacation property there for big dollars, but it is too far from home and I do not know the area very well. Another problem is the high price of gasoline will discourage poeple from traveling. There is some very expensive real estate there and the property taxes would probably be enormous. If you could rent it out year round and get good rates, it might be worth it however.Comment

I went to Oahu in december for the hawaii bowl for a week, and it was amazing. The weather was perfect and when it rained, it was only a mist.
The best thing of all was the people. After the ECU won the game, I just met up with some random hawaiians in the parking lot of the stadium who wanted to talk football. I wound up going to their house and hanging out at a party. It was away from all the tourist stuff, and I didn't even get robbed or raped.Comment

I spoke with an hotel employee and he said the months of June, July and August were the busiest months of the year for tourism and vacations. I was told that about half of the tourists are from California.
The weather this past week was near perfect. It was warm with temperatures near 85 F and there was a strong ocean breeze. The heat index was not much higher than the air temperature. It is usually cooler near the coast during summer most places in the world though.Comment
