    Baking In The Oven

Just here to say that my wife is pregnant. I'm kind of happy this week except that one of my close friends died on Monday. Been a crazy year honestly. I do hope that I can raise my child to be strong and respectful. I really am nervous about all the outside influences that could really make it hard for me and my wife through this trying time. I'm definitely preparing myself for anything that could happen. Just wanted to get it out.......

I dunno what this has to do with baking

Congrats on the impending bundle of joy coming your way. I'm also wary of raising any children in this environment. It truly seems that the world has gone bonkers. As long as you raise your child with good values and respect for others then it shouldn't be nearly as hard as it is for other parents who don't instill that kind of values into their children.

congratulations on the "bun in the oven"

And very sorry to hear about the loss of your close friend.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

          Congratulations on the kid.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

I know I thought it was a cooking question. Like he had to learn how to cook, because his wife is to tired to cook from being pregant.

              lol at the responses.
              First of all congratulations man.
2nd of all I can tell your gonna be a good dad from your worrying already.
I've only been parenting a short but quick time (2 1/2 years.) I've learned that he's gonna be influenced first and foremost by you and your wife for a really long time. My son "serves people" and gives people pounds...but he's fully potty trained and says please and thank you when he asks and receives things and I caught him saying his prayers to his his teddy bear one night (i damn near cried that night I saw that)

Sorry for the rant...basically if your a positive/good influence then thats all you can really do is prep him with what you've taught him/her. Everything else they have to experience. Right now i'd worry your wife is getting to all the appointments and eating right for your baby.

btw any names picked out yet? trust me thats the hardest part for us men until we freak out when the water breaks lol
