Anybody have some ramen noodle recipes?

Here's a quick Ramen stirfry:
- Cook the Ramen noodles as normal, strain, and let sit for a half hour
- Slice one or two chicken breasts into strips
- Dice some carrots (baby carrots work fine) and slice half an onion and a bell pepper
- Cook the chicken until white in a skillet over some oil, add the veggies, add the noodles, and toss with soy sauce and lime juiceI may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

I like to do mine like this:
Cook the noodles (microwave, stovetop, doesn't matter) and while it's cooking, take the flavor packet and put it in an (empty) bowl. Put 1/8th of a cup of milk plus half a tablespoon butter in the bowl with the flavoring.
Once the ramen is done, drain the water from the noodles and pour the noodles into the bowl with the flavoring, milk, and butter. Mix it up so the butter melts and the flavoring is no longer powder and enjoy!Comment

This could be a show on the Food Network...Ramen ChallengeFunny how ramen is the underground staple in most diets. I of course lived on ramen in college, and to this day love them with a passion. Great recipes. I usually scramble eggs with them.

About how long does it take before the noodles get hard? I see some of you guys saying you leave the noodles out for about 30 minutes, I would think that would make the noodles turn hard. The problem I have with trying to come up with ramen noodle meals is the texture. It seems like whenever I add something, whether it be chicken, tuna, etc., the "slippery", smooth texture of the ramen noodles makes it gross. I haven't been able to find a remedy yet.Comment

Nope...I strain them and just let them sit in the colander (JJLinn, this will eliminate the slippery texture). I compare it to this pasta bar my wife and I go to in Minneapolis. All their noodles are already cooked but are kept in big catering pans. I've never added anything to Ramen besides chicken strips, but I might start experimenting next time I make some.Comment
