Re: Group of HS girls form pact to get pregnant and raise babies together
From the article:
Some adults dismissed the statistic as a blip. Others blamed hit movies like Juno and Knocked Up for glamorizing young unwed mothers.
Now that being said, if I was one of these parents I would force the child to have an abortion. The way I see it (and I very well know there may be case law against my stance) it is in the best interest of the child at this time to not have a child at such a young age and generally parents can make decisions for children to have elective surgeries (such as an abortion).Comment

It's funny because they are oblivious to the fact money is needed to raise children. Money they do not have.Comment

Re: Group of HS girls form pact to get pregnant and raise babies together
From the article:
Who is ****ing stupid enough to blame movies for teenagers being stupid and getting pregnant? There is more validity to blame McDonald's for childhood obesity than this. I am ****ing sick of people who can't take responsibility and need to blame everyone else for their inadequacies as human beings, much less say parents. On a personal note this pains me to see, my wife and I have been trying to have a child and suffered through a miscarriage, mean while these stupid little sluts are doing this because they think it will be fun? Their children will likely be just as worthless to society as these girls are and will be nothing but the first generation of a drain to our society in nearly every facet.
Now that being said, if I was one of these parents I would force the child to have an abortion. The way I see it (and I very well know there may be case law against my stance) it is in the best interest of the child at this time to not have a child at such a young age and generally parents can make decisions for children to have elective surgeries (such as an abortion).
But I would bet that out of the 17 girls, probably 3 or 4 will do a great job and probably raise successful children. Another 4 or 5 will probably struggle some, but end up OK and the rest will probably live off of the government. A lot of this will depend on the cooperation of their parents to help them out.
I know a few people who got pregnant in highschool. I know some that are now 28 years old and still live with their parents and I know others that went on to graduate highschool and college and have successful careers.
Obviously these are 15 year old kids, who think it's "cool" to have a kid and don't know what the hell they are getting in to. That doesn't mean the kids are doomed, it just means that they are disadvantaged to start with.
Please don't confuse this with condoning the kids actions. I disagree with what they are doing 100% and think they are mornons and think they are as stupid and useless as you do...I'm just saying it doesn't mean that 100% of them are going to fail. The odds are definitely not in their favor and they're being greedy little brats.Comment
