    FireFox 3 issues.

After updating to FF3, I've been having some issues with it, especially when browsing this site. Anyone have any clue on what might be making OS look like this?

I have been checking a lot websites that I frequent but this seems to be the only one to be affected. I am using Opera right now though, and the site looks perfectly fine:

The only difference that's obvious to me is I am using Ad Blocker in Firefox. I tried disabling it in Firefox and the site still looks jacked, only now it has banner ads.

I haven't changed any settings in FF, and it was working fine earlier today; all of a sudden the way FF is reading the site is fubar. Anyone got a clue what's going on?

EDIT: Oh yeah, I should also mention that while viewing the forums in FF, although the top of the page looks like what's posted in the first screenshot, below it the formal looks more or less normal except in a wider format.

    Example:

EDIT: Screw, I am going back to 2.0.14

I have seen this happen on my MacBook Pro, that is because my computer was on sleep before for too long. I just had to restart my MacBook.

But I believe this is coming from a PC. I think I have seen this happen on my PC once. Did you try closing FF and then restarting it?

Yeah I tried restarting FF as well as my pc. I tried disabling extensions and what not as well. I just finally said screw it and went back to 2, where everything is working is fine.

Pretty sure this is more of an OS problem, I had that happen to me a lot back when I was using FF2, but ever since I upgraded to FF3, no problems anymore.

            Re: FireFox 3 issues.

Ok, coming back to this. After a couple of days I thought I'd reinstall 3.0 to see if the problem still existed. After the installation OS was once again running normally, for like a week, up until like one hour ago. I am still unsure of what the exact problem is, but I think I've narrowed it down to the OS Default skin.

Like I said, everything was running fine and smooth. I was reading a thread, then clicked to the forum index, and out of the blue what happened in the first pic up there happened again. The exact same thing.

I shut down Firefox and restarted my PC. I came back to OS, that didn't fix it, so I tried various skins. The forums look absolutely fine in all of the skins except the OS 2.0 default and OS 2.0 Default (no left menu). So now even though the forums are perfect, when I go to the front page it looks like crap, which sucks, because now I have to change my bookmarks to direct me straight to the forums for now.

Edit: Ok, nope it's not totally perfect after all. While there is a "Submit" button when replying, I cannot see it. I basically just guessed as to where the button should be and it worked, but I can't see the button.

Have you tried deleting all of your temporary internet files and cache? I've been running FF3 since it was released and have not send any issues. According to our stats 40% of OS visitors use FF3.

If removing my profile completely when uninstalling does all that then yes. When I reinstalled I started with a completely clean slate, no history, no bookmarks, nothing. It worked for a week, and then it resorted to looking a mess again.

Edit: Well I tried switching back to Default 2.0 and what do you know, it's working again. No settings changed and I was just about try deleting my TIF and clearing cache if it were still messed up. I am sure it won't last, I don't know what is going on. This is the only site I frequent that does this.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting a whole bunch of crashes from Firefox when on opsports. I'm on a mac.....no other site seems to be doing this. Gonna have to use safari for OS (ugh)

At first I went back to Firefox 2.0, but eventually wanted to try again to see if I could nail what the issue was. so I upgraded again to 3.0 and OS was working fine. It started doing the weird thing like in the first pic again after a few days, so I switched forum skins which seemed to work fine. After a couple of days I switched back to the default forum skin and everything was working great again. I have absolutely no clue what is/was causing it.

All that update did was make sure my tabmix plus and DAP extension didn't work. OS just went loopy again.

i haven't had this problem with FF3, but since the 3.0.1 update, the broswer has been slow, and it eats up a lot of RAM. from 150mb to even up towards 250mb. thats crazy.
