    Dream Thread

I'm about to go to sleep, and for the last three weeks I've remembered every single one of my dreams... and it kind of scares me to go to sleep now, because they are all so weird but real enough to happen...

Dreams are so much more fascinating than shows and movies to me because they can be deep dark thoughts that probably are an affect of your subconscious. They can be really bizarre but real at the same time...

When I wake up I want to record what it was about.

How about you guys? Tell me about your dreams when you wake up too!

    Re: Dream Thread

I don't typically remember my dreams... maybe 4 or 5 times a month.

I actually made a thread about a dream I had one time. In my dream, my 6-year-old nephew, whom I am very close to, was kidnapped. Scary junk, there.

When my ex-girlfriend and I broke up about 7 months ago, I used to have a lot of dreams about her, and it was really difficult to deal with. I was working so hard on not thinking about her during the day and keeping myself upbeat and thinking about other things. Then, I deal with her in a dream, and I really have little control over it. She came back to me in a couple of dreams... she told her new boyfriend that she still had feelings for in one... things hadn't even changed in a few other dreams...

Frustrating is about the best word to describe it.

God tell me about it... that is most certainly frustrating. I used to have the same type of dreams.

Last night I dreamt about two things...

in my first dream I went out to the this bar/club that was serving free kamikaze shots in a glass, and since I haven't drank a while in real life, I took a few sips, started to feel a little light headed and spit my last sip out back into my drink... I happened to be drinking with my friend Casey who introduced me to Kamikaze shots so that was a little peculiar. He commented "oh you're done drinkin bro?" as I put the glass down, and then this girl who likes me from my college who I don't think is that attractive comes walking in looking amazing, and naturally she is all over me... I'm starting to have the best night ever, and then my little brother Isaac walks in telling me that my dad and mom said I have to come home. At this point I'm kind of freaking out because I definitely never told them I was going out and taking the car, so they were going to be really pissed when I got home.

I walk out of the bar and no sign of my brother for some reason, and I thought about this but couldn't figure it out. It was really dark outside and no cars were in the parking lot at all even though tons of people were in the bar. I get in my car and I start racing home, going super fast... fast enough to wreck my car and kill myself pretty much. Then all these cops come out of nowhere trying to catch me. I even had this radar like GTA4 that allowed me to see where the cops were, so when one was coming I drove on the grass where trees were so they didn't see me. There were just way too many cops though, so I pressed a fly button on my car that got my car up in the air, and I just drove over all the cops. The fact that I was able to pull this off and safely get back into my house without the cops catching me made my parents proud of me and then the dream ended.

      Odddddd.

The second one, my two little brothers and I were in our basement and although we had no visuals of the upstairs anywhere, we were able to sense that this zombie monster was somewhere on the second floor in the house. What it would do is attack unsuspecting people that I didn't even know that were in our house by biting them and ripping into their neck and taking over their body. Fast forward to when this thing was making its way down into the basement. I was nearly ****ting my pants because you don't wanna go out like that... something ripping the crap out of your neck... can't feel too good lol. I wanted to protect my little brothers in the worst way, but I just had to trust that they would hide well enough to not get bitten.

I hid under this blanket in the middle of the basement (my mom does laundry down in the basement so THAT was convenient lol). I can see that the zombie comes right up to the blanket and I decided that he must know I'm there so my best chance is to quickly jump up and knock him under his jaw by surprise and quickly find something laying around to beat him with... when I jumped up I noticed he already went in another direction because HE DIDN'T SEE ME... but since I jumped up he heard me and turned back around! At this point I'm freaking out because I doomed myself, but this guy I don't even know jumps on him and is beating him... and then the zombie surrenders to his knees... The zombie looks like the Mr. Grady the old caretaker from "The Shining". Then the zombie says I will self destruct in ten seconds unless you kill me, while this poor guy who attacked him to make him surrender is STUCK to him. I suddenly found this laser knife like the one from that Innovation commercial where the guy uses it to cut the turkey... and I stab Grady's head which I think would kill anyone. But... he doesn't die apparently and he keeps counting down. It reaches three seconds left til self-destruction, and I tell my brothers to run up the stairs while I join... the countdown reaches zero... AND I WAKE UP.

      Hope you enjoyed that lol.

I can never understand what any of these mean. The only thing I can take out of it is that thank God I care enough about my little brothers... in real life I'd do anything for them, so it's nice that it transfers over to my dreams too.

        Re: Dream Thread

Very wierd that this thread is here now.
To start I have not played a FPS game in a while. haven't even bought BF yet.

Last night I had a very odd dream.

I was lying in a mud path (found soon after that it was used by tanks) sneaking up on a base. Turns out it was my base and I needed to get inside before I was caught. Guess I was AWOL or something, who knows. It was in the middle of the night and I could see some guards scattered about as I slowly crawled up the path. Next thing I know it's broad daylight and I'm still in the path. So now there are tons of soldiers running around and tanks doing some manuevers up and down the path etc.
I still haven't been seen. So I get up and act like I'm just on a routine run except I'm in shorts and I'm carrying my Yankees cap. I run past everyone without any problems and get inside the bulding. When I get in I actually know I'm one floor higher than where I need to be. WTF, how do I know that.

I start to make my way downstairs and I wake up.

          Re: Dream Thread

I really wish I could remember more of my dreams, as I usually have pretty interesting ones I remember until later in the day. That said I had a pretty sad one last night.

Basically I was told my dad had a couple days to live (but was physically otherwise unaffected). So we went out doing everything we liked to do together, go to games, go traveling to some places, play catch, etc. It was pretty sad at the end of the dream when he actually did die while we were waiting for a bus to get us back to the airport to go home. Made me think how happy I am I don't have to deal with this type of situation yet.

One of my odd ones from another dream thread

Weirdest dream I've had was where I was in this hospital and then this psyco doctor guy has all kinds of surgical tools and starts hurling surgical knives at me and them I'm running down the hall and I get into an elavator and it closes on him. I'm save right? Wrong. Same doctor comes out from the top of the elavator with a gun and just before he shoots me I wake up usually quite sweaty. Weird.

              My dream last night...

Don't really remember much of it except that I had bought a bunch of shirts. I was going through my closet trying to figure out which one I wanted to wear. I remember there was a black one with the Flyers logo on it in camoflauge. Then there was this one hoody that was like zip-down and pull over... very strange. Of course, there were a bunch of other ones that didn't stick out to me. Then I woke up and was angry I didn't have all these shirts because they were cool.

I know I had another dream but I can't remember it right now.

I always have these dreams where I'm playing baseball, but I feel like my legs weigh 100 lbs each. So if a pop fly is hit to me, I try to run towards but can't because my legs are sooo heavy. I never liked those dreams...

Last night, though, I had a really bizarre dream that I think is probably impossible to understand haha. I was in school and had found out that I won a trip to Los Angeles. But to get there, I had to fly in a spaceship, because (apparently) in my dream Los Angeles was a planet. And the cities surrounding Planet Los Angeles were moons rotating around Planet LA.

I had another dream, and it was actually about OS (idk y... im not obsessed haha). Anyways, it was my birthday, and I got a PS3 that I had to go pick up at AuburnAlumni's house (idk y it was him... maybe i've spent too much time in the NCAA09 forum). And when I got there I found out that the PS3 was all scratched and it wouldn't work... I got all angry and then woke up

My dreams never make any sense...

I just had a weird dream last night that I was taking BP & this one guy tried to get in front of me, so I shove him to the ground. Next thing I know, I'm taking a baseball bat to the back and then I'm on the ground getting beat by a group of people with baseball bats. Needless to say, when I woke up, I was glad to be able to walk lol..

I had a dream about my fantasy baseball team last night. I was winning 10-0 going into Sunday and I had a dream that I woke up this morning and I only won 8-2.

And then I woke up and it turned out I only won 7-3.

I rarely remember my dreams, but I guess this one was just too stupid to forget.

I had a really weird dream last night, scared me a bit...

Basically I dreamed that I was at my house and had some firecrackers or something explosive like that. I was outside at night and tied them around my dogs neck and blew her head off (damn, I know). Then I did the same thing to my cat and some random other cat that was supposedly mine. It was like the movie The Happening, I didn't know why I did it. Then in the dream I felt really bad about it and somehow had this device that allowed me to go back in time.

Weird thing was that it was like going back to a saved checkpoint, like a video game. So of course I went back so my pets were still alive. Then I figured out how to use it for other things in everyday life, for example, said the wrong thing to a girl, just hit the checkpoint button. I could set my own checkpoints too, but that was a bit of a problem because I liked this rewind thing so much but after I set a checkpoint I couldn't go back in time before that. And I knew when I went back in time, like I remembered that I had done it, so it got boring to go back too far and do everything over again. It was a bit of a dilemma. Weird.

I have a question for you guys. I'll describe the dream first and then tell me if you ever experience anything like this:

So I had a dream that I was in a boat with my girlfriend in the bay of a greek island nearby the greek island of Santorini (aka a massive volcano that has been one of the most destructive in the history of the world). In the distance we hear an amazingly loud boom and then see smoke explode upwards in the direction of Santorini. Then we start to see what looks like a cloud/wave. At that point I tell my girlfriend we are done for (because of the possibilities, it was a pyroclastic flow- scalding hot rock and fire going at about 150+ mph, or a tsunami, both of which would kill a small boat), and tell her to face away from whatever it was (just in the hopes maybe it would stop short). So we say our goodbyes and such, then it (turned out to be a pyroclastic flow) hits us and I literally feel like I am burning alive and was in incredible pain (which woke me up).

My question: Do you guys have dreams where you actually feel what is happening in the dream I've never been actually burned by fire before but if I had to guess at how it felt, the way I experienced it in my dream would have been it.

I don't feel my dreams. When I dream it's more mental anguish that wakes me up. Not physical.

agreed, at least from what I can remember. What usually wakes me up in a nightmare is when something I can't bare to see or be apart of actually happens. Like in your case, I think the fire would be coming towards me in the dream but just before it hit me, I would wake up... almost surely.
