We've been married about 6 years now.

2. It's been threatened but never actually happened.

3. Nope, we usually leave it down because our cats are dumb enough to drink the blue treated water. Prior to that she said I had as much right to leave it up as she did to leave it down, it was a woman's job to check.

I have been married 8 years.

2. I have slept on the couch twice, once cause it was too hot lying next to my wife and a second time because I enjoyed the first time so much!

I would say it depends on who you are or who you are married to.
One person could be messy the other a neat freak, one could be easy going while the other freaks out if something is out of place or not right. Im sure with clashes like that some kind of argument wound ensue possibly leaving someone homeless for a night or sleeping on the couch or taught toilette seat etiquette.

I will be married 7 years on July 28th and I've never been kicked out of the house, although I have been asked to leave a few times during a some big fights we were having. I usually just end up going to another room and letting things cool down a bit and then we can be in the same room again, although she likes to hold grudges much longer than me.

I sleep on the couch all the time but it's not because of an argument. I usually watch tv in the living room after the wife and baby go to bed and sometimes fall asleep there and don't make it to bed until 3:00 or 4:00 am. Before the baby was born, that used to be a huge argument between us. She always got mad and wanted to know why I couldn't make it to bed to sleep. Since the baby's been born, it's not that big of a deal anymore because she's usually so tired when she goes to bed that she never wakes up to notice I'm not there.

We've never had the toilet seat argument. I always put the seat and lid down.

Most of our arguments stem from stupid little things that are blown out of proportion, most of the time by her. I'm much more laid back than she is so little things that bother her don't really bother me. She can't stand that.

It all depends on who you're living with - it can be heaven or hell. It's hard to know what to expect, but if you've lived with her for a while you should have an idea (if you've lived together in the same house).

But sitcoms always have me askin myself, "How can someone kick me out of MY bed and MY house"

1. I kicked my wife out when we were dating...she ended up just sitting in her car until I cooled off and passionate make-up sex followed.

3. I've put the seat down since middle school science class, when I learned that the radius of the fecal and bacterial spray from flushing an open toilet seat is a good five feet, well onto toothbrushes, razors, etc.

LOL...reminds me of one of my good friends. His wife tried that and he told her to open the door or it was coming off of the hinges...she didn't and the door came flying off and in the bed he got.

I have been married 13 years and I slept only once on the couch, but it was my choice. Now if we get in a fight I don't sleep on the couch. The toliet Seat one is not a big issue with my wife and I have never been asked to leave.
