I'm giving some sperm away they can do whatever they want with it, it makes absolutely no difference to me and doesn't affect my life in any way. If your sperm is that important to you that you need to worry about who it's used on then don't donate it.

Chances are, a cute 27 year old upper class woman with a steady job isn't going to need or want artificial insemination.

I would tend to think that the biggest clients of unknown sperm donors (not a couple doing it for difficulty purposes) are lesbians and crazy single women.

Maybe it wouldn't bother you to know that little jmood's were running around the US, but I don't think I'd be content knowing I'm responsible for knocking up women I've never even met.

I think it's wrong to have a child under such 'freakish' circumstances... that kid is going to go through a lot of torment in school because of it.

I agree... The first thing I thought about when I heard this a couple months ago, was, "Dang, that child is gonna be really screwed up". Raising kids today is hard enough, without having them subjected to all that external crap.

So here's another question:

When you get a sex-change, "gender reassignment," whatever you want to call it, isn't it generally because you identify with the other gender and feel like you are trapped in the body of the wrong gender? If that's the case, why would he/she keep the female reproductive organs? He/she said they still wanted to have a child someday... isn't that "motherly instinct" or something like that?

I think the funniest part in all of this is the fact that he/she is going to write a book about it. Only in America. Maybe Mrs. Spears can collaborate for a whole series of books and speaking engagements about parenting.
