I'll glance at post points but the join date is something I'll always check out. Sometimes the combo of the two can help when seeking advice on stuff.

 Re: Post Counts

i don't really look at a person's post count as a measure of their "quality", if someone is in question, i look at their post history and see what content/often they post to judge. you can quickly see if the guy is a constant complainer/whiner or not.

i look at mine(1324) and think its alot. this is the only site i really post often at(and the most). mainly in the NCAA football forumsComment

 Re: Post Counts

I'd be lying if I said I didnt notice them, but to be honest I usually look at join dates just to seperate the spring chickens from the reliable posters. I feel like most of us already know who the legit posters are anyways.Comment

 Re: Post Counts

I agree that join dates are way more important than post counts or donating status... If you've stuck around long enough and not gotten ran out of the place then you must be allright Comment

 Re: Post Counts

Yeah, lets go by dates. That would make me one of the senior members of this thread I guess I just don't post all that often, but I do lurk.......

 Re: Post Counts

I know most will say they don't care, but really you can tell who cares because they often post their own milestone threads.

I cared when I had like 500 or so, and then sam40 posted a Sim City video before NBA 2K7 and said, "Get your post count up, to at least over 1000". So I did that and went back to not caring. If I can get a little cred with Da Czar, to hell with everyone else. PS: You guys are great. PS: You guys are great.

Lurking ftw. The normal peops I dont check post counts.. but if I read something intresting and don't recognize the name I'll peek at the born on date and count.
 Sean Singletary
"Not wonderment," he said when asked if he was surprising even himself with his hot hand in Virginia's 108-87 victory against Gonzaga on Wednesday night, when he scored a career-best 37 points. "I was just wondering why they didn't play more `D."Comment

 Re: Post Counts

In the RealGM forums, posters with high post counts actually make sense. The one's who just started are immature trolls.Comment
