Re: Arguing With Your Woman In Public
I don't argue in public...One New Years Eve my (then, now ex) girlfriend got all trippy and made a scene in front of people about something dumb. I took her somewhere private and said that in public is not the time nor place for that. She started crying and apologized...Comment

Re: Arguing With Your Woman In Public
Right now I'm single, but when I was with my girlfriend back in Montreal, I would never ever, ever argue in public. I have more class than that, and I don't want the public to think I'm an "animal". When I see other couples doing that I laugh to myself since they don't know how hat they're putting on a show for everyone else.Comment

Re: Arguing With Your Woman In Public
Thankfully, my gf and I don't argue at all. We've had disagreements but it's mostly a little thing like me not agreeing with a decision she made. But I'm done with the arguments. I had too many of them with a previous girlfriend and it tired me out and made me unhappy.
So if it doesn't affect me, I just let my current gf be. It's her decision, her problem to deal with is how I look at it now.
I deal with enough at home with my family to not want to extend the stress and disappointment elsewhere. I'm young enough to just move on and she already knows that. If she wants to yell at me or argue over any little thing then she'll just get dropped. I have no time for drama.
But thankfully, she's not into drama either and that's where it stays. We talk things out and neither of us has raised our voice in 6 months of dating.NFL: Tennessee Titans

Re: Arguing With Your Woman In Public
Anyway, I did make my girlfriend cry once but it really was unintentional. I thought we were having a playful fight about some stupidness at a restaurant. I forget the whole thing but I playfully argued that I was right about something, though I knew full well I was wrong. And she, being very proud, fought back.
I thought it would just be a little thing we'd "argue" over every now and then for kicks. But, right here, on the dinner table, while arguing her point to me, she just broke down. I couldn't believe it. I felt like a huge a**.
It's just funny to me at times because of all the things she could cry over, it was me having fun. She could have at least waited till I raised my voice and smacked her. Re: Arguing With Your Woman In Public
Whoa, best to you. I'm not sure I can take that step. I like my girlfriend a lot but there are still things that I think will annoy the hell out of me if I lived with her. She's a bit messy and can be lazy at times. But I don't get too involved in that because we're dating. Now if she were my wife then I'd have to step in and change that. And then that goes into my problem...who will I be to change someone? Ugh.

Re: Arguing With Your Woman In Public
The messy part? She is. And that is annoying. Throwing clothes around. Not cleaning up after yourself. Even dropping popcorn on the floor and just leaving the popcorn there for days and days; that's not something I think I could deal with on a every day basis. It would drive me nuts."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Arguing With Your Woman In Public
I would say that the lazy part is because I'm not. Or try not to be. She isn't exactly really lazy. She just isn't as active as I can be. I'm a get up at 7 am type of guy even on a Sunday morning. She prefers to sleep in till 12 noon. If you have nothing to do then I guess you can do that. For me, that's a waste of half a day. But that's my mentality so I can't fault her for it, really.

Don't argue, punch her in the mouth, tell her to get in the car and leave. End of story.Last edited by SkunkWurks6; 07-25-2008, 05:55 AM. Reason: Not a full punch just a jab, I'm not a jerkComment

Now, obviously, I realize that most girls will hear what you have to say but don't exactly listen. So if she really likes me then she won't be easy to just push to the side because she's a for now thing. But, really, if she's been paying attention then she knows I'll up and move when I have the prospects to do so.
Right now, I enjoy our time together. But without even thinking about cheating, I think that as a non-married man with no intentions on settling down, there is no problem with keeping my eyes and mind open to other girls. I have to find what's best for me. I'm faithful, though, so I won't look hard. I just need to be open-minded enough to notice when I should be looking."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. I already told her that we are a for now thing. I like her a lot. I like hanging out with her. She's a great person to be around. But I could never imagine myself spending a lifetime with her.
