If you had the opportunity to have superpowers, would you take it?

So I was thinking one day about being a superhero. I think most guys in general have fantasies of saving their dream girls, blah blah blah, hero, blah blah, live happily ever after as an admired guardian with their dream women. But then I started thinking of all the cons that come with being a superhero.

Most heroes with powers do a lot of running from scientists and media because everyone wants to know their business. That's why most have other identities (Batman, Spider-man). Then you have the ones who are complete pariahs that people naturally fear (X-Men). Then most of these struggle with relationships with everyone. They usually fear getting involved in a relationship because their enemies may try to exploit them that way.

And of course you'd have some kind of weakness to and more than likely someone who wants to see your demise.

So if you could be a superhero, would you be one? What powers would you want? Would you try to hide or would you relish in the attention and fame of being a savior? Would you tell anyone or keep it to yourself?

Time travel is absolutely essential.

After that, I'd want to be able to light people on fire with my mind with complete ease. Just think it and poof, they're on fire like Lloyd Banks.

Then throw in some telekinesis. For this, I'd want it to correspond to my hand movements.

Last, levitation. More for just appearance than utility.

I'd be unstoppable.

I don't know if I'd want to be a superhero, but I would like to have the ability to teleport wherever I wanted in an instant. That would be awesome and would save so much time.

Never saw the movie, but does it allow you to "jump" anywhere in the world? If so, thats basically what I want as well.

It let's you jump anywhere you have been and anywhere that you can see like in a picture or something, but not just anywhere.

I'd like to control time as in fast forward, slow down, stop, and all that stuff. That would be awesome. If I was a super hero and had to deal with someone trying to kill me every 5 seconds then I'd have to think about receiving those powers.

I would be stealth with my powers so people didn't know. X ray vision would do me just fine.:wink:

I won't lie, I would take super powers if I could.

I would want the whole deal. The flying ability, the strength, the...ughh...well those two for sure.

I'd probably try to hide it, but knowing me I'd get sloshed at a party some night and be like "Dudes, check this out!"

Hell yeah I'd want super powers. As long as it's not something that would deform me or is totally useless I'll take almost anything. Do you know someone who is giving out super powers? Can I get their contact info?

I'd essentially want Superman's powers. I'd keep it on the down low but i'd probably show off the super strength to the ladies

Time travel and x-Ray vision. Although unless you had the power to control your x-ray vision you would see a lot of things you didn't sign up for.
