TULSA, OK -- A baby boy was mauled by a dog on Monday morning in south Tulsa. Police say it happened while the parents left the child in a baby swing unattended inside their home. The News On 6's Emory Bryan reports they believe the dog was just a puppy.

Tulsa Police have a lot of questions yet to be answered about what happened, but they believe a 6-week-old black lab bit the baby numerous times. It was unclear how long the baby had been dead when an ambulance was called Monday morning, said police.

This is what happens when you're irresponsible and you have kids too young and you don't think that you have to keep an eye on your kid. Its a shame that the kid dies and whatever happens to the puppy is going to be a shame too

It would take an awful long time for a 6 wek old lab to kill a baby. First the baby would be screaming bloody murder. Second, how did a 6 week old lab get up to the baby swing? I could see maybe nipping its toes or possibly biting a leg.

This is fishy. I call BS. The parents killed the kid and framed the puppy.

I'm sorry but a black lab puppy has absolutely no meanness in them. I had one, my girlfriend has a lab puppy mix right now...they are the sweetest things alive.

Their one downfall is they love to chew. Anything and everything. I can't see a lab "chewing" the kid to death though.

Well, seeing as how these two seem like responsible citizens, I wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't fed the dog in a while

OK, coming from an owner of a black lab who raised it from a puppy and a father of 2 year old daughter, I can say with certainty that a 6 week old black lab did not kill a baby in an infant swing. This story is foul as they come.

Even if you didn't feed the black lab puppy it would be inclined to go cry in the corner. And there wouldn't have been any kill instinct in that puppy. I don't even see how it could reach a baby in a swing.

It might have chewed on the baby's foot but the baby would have been screaming bloody murder literally. It would have been a slow death. Parents need to be locked up or given the death penalty, I don't care either way they need to get these 2 idiots where they can't reproduce.

This is just disturbing, and it also tells me I don't watch the local news enough being that I live in south Tulsa. Normally stuff like this doesn't happen in this part of town, very sad, although I don't quite understand how a 6 week old puppy could do this. I have had a lab and a golden retriever since they were puppies. My Golden did chew on furniture, ect., but I don't think this could happen. Anyways, terrible parenting.

Trust me, I'm not saying you're wrong or anything, as my yellow lab was just that age a year ago and I couldn't see how he could do it either, but if the police say it looked like the baby was chewed to death by a dog, then I'm inclined to believe them but I want a further explanation

We'll see. But here's the deal. There was allegedly 3 people home. A 6 week old puppy isn't going to deliver a death blow to the neck or skull like a Cheetah. It would start nibbling on its toes or legs at that point that baby would be whaling.

Most likely the baby was shaken to death by the parents and the parents then did the unthinkable.

Yeah, I could see that being the case, or them just being soooo stoned that they just didn't realize what the hell was going on. Either way they should find some way to charge them with some crimes

Don't need people this irresponsible running around, 15 years minimum. I am sure that child suffered horribly. I wouldn't even mind if they locked these clowns up for good. For some reason in my gut, I know that the baby died because of malice.
