Where did you hear that at? I heard that when he was in court he didnt mutter a single word and the only thing he did was nod his head yes when the judge asked him if he was excersizing his right to remain silent or something to that effect. Apparently he was a nice guy prior to this but something was up, he told his employer, a news paper delivery service, that he was going out of town for an job interview and he told his wife he was going out of town for a family emergency so obviously he was going out of town for something he didnt want others to know about, Im curios what that might have been.

Yeah I would like to figure this out as well. I read my thing off of one of the news internet sites (can't remember if it was cnn, msnbc, nytimes, etc). They also mentioned that the only reason given from him as to why he did what he did was "the bus ride was too long." Let me see if I can find it. It also provided his photo.Where did you hear that at? Ive seen his picture already but I would be curious to read any new information that you have seen that I havent. I posted a link earlier to the victims My Space page and its always weird looking at someones page who is now dead. Its really unfortunate what happened to that guy, minding his own business and the next thing you know some complete stranger starts stabbing you.Yeah I would like to figure this out as well. Re: man beheaded on bus

I don't buy that, he wanted to slaughter and dismember that poor kid not just kill him. Killing somone with a gun is far different that killing someone with a knife, especially in the fashion, in which this killing happened.Last edited by SkunkWurks6; 08-06-2008, 05:19 PM.Comment

 Re: man beheaded on bus

He also made swipes at other passengers on the bus before they were able to close the doors and trap him inside. I don't think he want to do anything and I doubt he planned to mutilate someone on the bus when he arrived. I feel that he is obviously insane and something that no one else noticed must have set him off. To say that it wouldn't be more dangerous if he had a gun is ridiculous. You are right, killing someone with a knife and a gun are two completely different things. One is more intimate (knife) and it takes a certain mindset for someone to stab someone. Meanwhile, a gun is much more informal and far easier killing tool, and the experience is much more depersonalized. Had he gone off the deep end and was carrying the more effective weapon, than yeah he had a much easier shot to kill many more people.Last edited by Adam Dayton; 08-06-2008, 08:27 PM.Comment

 Re: man beheaded on bus

Do a little research, the guy had issues. His thought process was probably similar to that of a serial killer. If you've ever done any research on serial killers you'd understand what I was saying. He had that knife on him for a reason, he could just as easily brought a gun on, but he didn't for a reason. I mean noone knows, nor will anyone ever really know what was going on in that mind of his, but if I were a gambling man I'd go with my assumption.Comment

 Re: man beheaded on bus

Enlighten me than. His thought process was similar to a serial killer? What news outlet states that this murder was somehow planned? The man was charged with second degree murder which is murder that is not premeditated, so unless you have information the Canadian law enforcement does not have you are just speculating and thus have not done proper research. The man obviously went off the deep end on the spot and freaked out in a very sick way. My point has always been that if he freaked out and had an effective murdering weapon capable of inflicting mass damage from a range greater than his immediate area (IE: a gun) more individuals on the bus would be in danger. You are making yourself look foolish trying to somehow dispute this point.Do a little research, the guy had issues. His thought process was probably similar to that of a serial killer. Most serial killers do NOT plan their first murder, like I said I would be willing to bet he does have many of the mental similarities and thought processes of a serial killer.Comment

 Re: man beheaded on bus

From what I've seen, most serial killers do not kill in this fashion. They usually have high IQs and all their murders are premeditated and well thought out so they are not caught. Most serial killers have a fascination with killing and want to do it again. It just doesn't seem to fit the description of this person from what i've readDo a little research, the guy had issues.
