    Creating and Selling Web Domains

Has anyone ever played around in creating a web domain name, through whichever website (godaddy), and then trying to sell it?

I'm around it everyday, i work at godaddy myself. I've sold domains as much as 5,000. If you have one and you want to sell it, its best to make a website with simple text that your site is for sale.

The expensive names you see for sale on the site are premium domains that are on sale by a private owner or on auction, similar to ebay. It's an okay way to sell your domain, you really have to have a great one to do really well on there or try to market your domain to companies that might be interested in it.

All i have to say is if you have a good idea and its available, just get it, its only 10 bucks on godaddy, and its ten bucks on an investment. People make a living out of it and you can get lucky. If it doesn't work out then whatever, it was ten bucks. I suggest only getting .com and maybe .tv, .asia (if you have an asian contact) or recent release of .me

Just recently .me just came out, and people where having a hay day making up .me names. Like videoga.me or subli.me or pleasedonthate.me . They are more expensive but i think this will be a big tld unlike others, .info, .name. People are playing with word and I think that'll be a new trend in names.

PM me if you have any specific questions about it.
