Sometimes I feel I post too much but i've never been told to shut up so i'll continue what i'm doing. I try to at least have some substance to most of them though.

Not at all. If they post in thread after thread to get in a point, then I respect that completely. But if they're doing it for a useless word or two to see their username under the "Last Post" section, though I don't pay any attention to it or notice it even when it happens, I can see why people may see it as just someone trying to get their post count up.

But does it annoy me? Not at all. It doesn't affect me one bit, I suppose.


Do I think people waste their life on this message board? Of course, even I do! This is my free time... I post while watching TV or eating, talking with somebody online, etc.

I'm guilty of doing this one time in OS... like four or five years ago, I can't remember. Hey, that's what happens when you're up at 1 in the morning (here in the west coast) and no ones around.

It is annoying though, that I'll admit.

I agree. I think its sort of strange for someone to complain about someone else posting too much when their own post count is in the thousands.

As far as saying its ok as long as the post has substance...well thats kind of in the eye of the beholder. I think most of the time everyone who makes a post believes that their post has substance.
