Dude, thats an ignorant statement. The whole "windy city" thing has nothing to do with actual wind. I will give you that the winters can be a little cold, but man up.

If any of you have been around Chicago in the summer at lake michigan or wrigleyville, you would change your tune. Unless you hate fun.

And Chicago is like 100000x cleaner than New York. New York looks like it has herpes or something, gross.

And this is the typical Chicago attitude of the remainder of the state. Even the suburb kids like to talk like this even though their communities resemble much of the rest of the state, just closer to Chicago than the rest of us.

I just dont think there is much to like about Illinois if you dont have chicago IMO.

Nothing wrong with a little pride in for the hometown. I agree the winters can suck here, but there is no place I would rather be in the summer than Chicago, hands down.

I have only worked in New York for brief periods, and havent seen a whole of the city, mostly the Times Square area and a some around there, but I think as far as citys go, Chicago pwncakes it. Cmon man, New york is a pretty dirty place.

How is it ignorant when I lived in South Bend for 4 years? The wind is ridiculous!!! I felt for those four years the wind was in my face no matter what way I turned. What makes it worse is when it's 25 degrees out and the wind is about 20mph all the time.

Yes the summers are nice...but the winters are brutal!

So you were in the most populated area in NYC... where millions of tourists pass through all the time.... in addition to the millions of people who work there daily... and then call it a dirty place.

I'll tell you what: The air quality isn't the greatest at times here. But that's only because I have scientists always bringing it up around me.
