    Re: Need Your Prayers, Please

Hospice came by today and I signed the necessary paperwork. The nurse that saw my dad does not think it is going to be much longer then a week. Thank you for the prayers and words of encouragement. Words alone can not convey how much it means. Just pray that dad's suffering ends and that God calls him home.

funky, my dad died of a slow illness (ALS) a couple years ago and when the time comes at least you know the suffering ends. Sounds like you are already in that place, so that's good even though it still hurts. I'm sure it means a lot to your dad that you've been by his side through this entire thing, I wish I had been more active in my dad's situation. It's obvious that you've been a good son to him during this ordeal and you'll be in my prayers.
