    So are we ****ed?

I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

And if the topic is too much incorporated in politics close it. I really feel this should be discussed here seeing how huge it is.

This is why the stock market is so stupid. Stocks were up well over 200 points in anticipation of the bill being passed. It passes and the Dow tumbles back down. The only reason we're screwed is because we watch intently on the insanity that drives Wall Street. Once this all shakes out and values are based on real value as opposed to speculation, we'll get a better idea of where we stand.

Yeah I understand that, as I think most people here also realize it.

Just kind of nervous at how much money is being thrown at a problem that should never have existed.

Actually i've heard from an expert on the economy (a lady named Catherine Austin Fitts) that stocks will go up and stabilize but more then likely the stocks will tumble to the levels they are now and even worse especially if the bailout doesn't work.

BTW the reason why stocks have fallen so much today was because the unemployment numbers came out this morning and were BRUTAL. Something like 159,00 jobs lost in Sept.

Do you really feel that way? This will really have that great of an impact?

I'm not gonna lie, I am not very knowledgeable of the economy. I have just been reading peoples opinion and it seems very bad.

Well with the powers granted to him with the bailout plan Henry Paulsen will now be able to bailout any institution he sees fit. Most of these institutions have connections to the Fed and cetain people in government.

If you look at the crisis right now and those who are involved in it you'll see a lot of what goes on is run by people who work/used to work for Goldman Sachs. These people don't give a damn about the "little guy".

Unless you think the federal government is going to fail then I wouldn't take your money out of banks. That is unless you have more than $100,000 in an account. But I'm by no means an expert, so don't take my word for it.
