It's been almost 3 months and I still can't work and can't sleep, though I'm hoping with the step up in physical therapy that I'll be back at work the end of this month or the 1st of November.
Wish I had that false positive. Every way I laid my leg my knee hurt. I'd get off to sleep than have to wake up to go to the bathroom. Once I laid back down the pain would start all over.

I had ACL surgery 2 years ago. It sucked being out of commission for 6 months, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. Rehab was pretty easy for me.

The pain was fine for the first couple of days. Then I started throwing up from the painkillers, so I just stopped taking them. Days 4 through 6 sucked horribly. Laying down with my leg elevated was ok, but standing up or sitting, or anything with my leg down was awful. After about a week it felt ok though, and after that, pain wise it was never really that bad.

Yep, it's been just over a week for me and the pain has died down quite a bit.

ok went to the doc yesterday and found out the results of the scope... Turns out that about 20% of my ACL snapped and got jammed up in some of my knee joints, so he cleaned everything out and put me on my way, he told me that 80% of the ligament is basically just as good as 100%, he said either one was just as likely to tear the same.. not so sure how but i guess he knows what he is talking about... but from what i can tell it feels better, i feel some discomfort rite now but im hoping thats just the soreness from the scope..

Glad to here it was a easy scoping, hope you have a speedy recovery.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!
