    lithotripsy is where they use sound waves to break it up. Had it done the last time I had stones. Worked great. The pain is when they are moving in your body, that are the worst. If you have insurance, I would go to the hospital. I did twice and they gave me some good pills for the pain.

            Thanks guys and i'll take some of the advice given in this thread. I think I'll be able to make it through Tuesday so i'll let you all know how it goes at my doctor.

                        Everyone has insurance in this country.

                        I had a kidney stone once but I was very lucky that it was not very large. I only experienced intense pain for a few hours. The stone came out a full month later yet I didn't feel much pain after that first day. Even when it came out I only felt a slight burning as it wasn't very big.
