    Allergy medicine

I've been using Alavert for awhile now, but lately it's just not working for me so I'm looking to switch to something else.

    Any ideas?

Try going for a full allergy test to see what is causing your allergies and then the doctor will prescribe something.

hey chaos, are we just talking about hay fever type allergies? i was using OTC claritin, but have switched to Zrtec (SP?). it's more powerful than claritin, and can make you a bit more loopy, but claritin just wasn't doing it for me.

If you're having sinus or drowsiness problems, go with Sudafed.

It's Zyrtec I believe. I use it too. It works for me.

That cost more money than I can afford at this point.

That's what I was using before switching to Alavert. I've tried it these last couple days and it hasn't done a thing.

You're probably using Sudafed PE. You don't want that crap.

You want to go to the Pharmacist. Go tell him you're trying to cook up some meth, and he'll give you the good stuff and scan your drivers license. Take two in the morning and you'll be good.

Ever since they made all of them other counter, most of them are crap now. The 12 stuff doesn't work well for me because most of the time I'm not home or I'm too busy to take it again and I start to feel it around the 10 hour mark.

Zyrtec. I take it as well. I tried Alavert a few years ago and it didn't work at all. And I also used another allergy medicine awhile back but it would knock my *** out within 2 hours of taking it.

But my allergy is probably vastly different than yours. I'm allergic to heat

                      Allergies
                      Causes

A Swedish study, published in the Environmental Science and Technology Review, found that chemicals from computer screens can cause allergic reactions, such as itching, nasal congestion, and headaches. The chemical compound that can trigger these problems is triphenyl phosphate, a flame ******ant widely used in the plastic of video monitors and computers. If you use computers in a confined space, make sure you have adequate ventilation.

Having an allergic reaction to wine (generally red wine), such as getting ruddy faced or coughing unexpectedly, is usually caused by the histamines produced from the skins of the grapes. To eliminate this problem, pour a glass of wine and let it sit for 30 minutes before drinking it. The histamines will dissipate into the air.
