It's not even Halloween, and already I see...

Christmas stuff all around the Macy's I was at earlier today. It wasn't just a little section, literally everything had lights, there was a bunch of red and green, Christmas music, a big *** tree, and Christmas "sales" as well. It didn't make any sense!

Thankfully that was the only place around the mall that had it, and while I loved the feel of Christmas approaching soon, it's still not all that soon. Sixty some odd days? I still need to find a costume, cook me a bird, destroy some exams, and fly home to my family... then we'll talk Christmas shopping.

I'm falling all over myself for cold weather, Christmas music, etc.

And it sucks because I think it's "so close" but it's yet so far.

At least the Christmas music will start on DTV next week. Woo!

Oh we've had x-mas stuff in Costco for like 2 months now. My son will probably be able to get his picture taken with Santa on November 1st. It seems earlier and earlier every year they haul out the decorations.

My wife and I went to Costco last week and they have a huge aisle of all the christmas chocolates and cookies and crap. I filled the cart with Quality Street, Butter Cookies and Ferraro Rocher. Then I realized it was October and that they would have never lasted 2 months in the cupboard so I put it all back.

This seems like a perennial thread, unless I read it on another forum.

Ive seen some Christmas decor out in a couple of stores myself.

I can't wait, plus I'll probably get my vacation from work around that time which is lovely.

Truthfully the shopping season for Christmas starts earlier than December so along with the fact of trying to get consumers to spend this year that might be why its so early. Forget halloween... give me christmas music and all of the seasons festivities and atmosphere it brings.

              Man, that's evil.

Let me enjoy Halloween, which is also a pretty good holiday. I suppose since they can profit off of Christmas so much they are going to put displays up as early as they can get by with.

I stopped in Target today to pick up a few things and right next to the Halloween section was 3-4 rows of Christmas stuff. It's unreal.

It was actually Mission Valley. I was on my way to Fashion Valley if I didn't find the present I wanted for my girl friend's birthday (nice little snow globe).

I like to get through Halloween before I want to see Christmas stuff. The past couple years I have decorated the outside for Halloween but not so much for Christmas, because I hate my lights. This year Im going LED so my house should look nice at Christmas. In my opinion I see Halloween as the fun holiday whereas Christmas is more of the serious holiday, just the way I look at it. New Years however, is just a night to pig out and think about one more year closer to death!

Halloween sucks, Christmas stuff should be up as soon as fall starts.

I don't get into the christmas spirit until after Thanksgiving. Spreading it out too long (and a month is a while for me....), just seems to take the edge off it a bit. I dunno.
