    CPU Help.

My laptop is running slow as heck when I have the the internet going (wireless card on - SLOW cpu, wireless card off - NOT slow).

I want to check if I got some virus or trojan or something but I'm a computer idiot. Is their a good or decent program I can download free to help?

    Re: CPU Help.

You can download AVG for free, it's decent, though not the best. If you have Windows (I'm assuming you're not using a Mac) you can also download Windows Defender.
    My Specs:

    ZX Spectrum
    CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
    GPU: Monochrome display
    RAM: 48 KB
    OS: Sinclair BASIC

Ad-aware is not bad but I prefer the old version.

A combo of AVG and Windows Defender. You should have some anti-virus anyways, to prevent problems from creeping up in the first place.

If you connect to the Internet using a wired connection, do you have any issues?
