I like how they mention COD4 being the worst influnce on him, thought for sure they would mention GTA4 or Saints Row 2 or something. Guess this kid really loved his xbox maybe he was an OS member

It's funny that someone a his age would actually run away for something so petty, but yet it isn't really comical when you think of what his parents must be going through.

This kid could have a minor (probably major now) mental condition and could be in serious danger. If something so petty such as taking away his X-Box would set him off, something in the future was bound to trigger this anyways.

Hopefully they find him and get him help.

Also, props to Microsoft for caring.

I feel for this kid. It isn't normal for kids to do what he did, but he is bound by an addiction. I know how he feels. I had an addiction to Xbox, and I just finally broke it. I hope for the safe return of this kid, and I will be praying for him.

This is ridiculous for the kid to act that way. Problem is, he probably threatened to run away from home if he didn't get an Xbox. Now he ran away from home and is most likely dead. Its hard to be a parent these days. Literally every kid has attempted running away from home for 1 reason or another. You used to just wait til they got home. Now you have to worry about them being abducted by some pedophile they met online.

Its extremely difficult to be a parent these days, because you feel like if you take your eyes off your kid for one second there will be some life altering event that occurs. I can't imagine letting my kids do the things that I did when I was a kid like playing in the woods all day, riding my bike a few miles to a pickup game of wiffle ball when I was 7, playing games like hide and go seek after dark, etc. I used to stay at home when I was real young while my parents worked. My friends too, we would just play outside all day in the neighborhood. I just can't imagine letting kids do this now. Its sad.

I used to go to that school. Tough school, lame uniforms..He probably ran away to get away from that terrible school..

Been following this on the news for awhile now..His parents are really pushing the abduction thing.. I think he just ran away..

To add.. That school(All schools) has a sort of hidden percentage of students that do the exact same thing as this kid, get high dropout bum around and this kids parents seemed to blame his Xbox..When in fact it could have been that schools rigid system of religion and lack of individualism. Tough being in school being forced to learn things you may not even believe in.
