Yeah I love it...
I use as much as MSN.

I still prefer AIM (though I don't do much online chatting of any kind anymore).

I didn't know there was a chat feature on facebook either until a message popped up at the bottom of my screen one night. It was someone I hadn't talked to in a long time and it works just as well as AIM or MSN as far as I can tell. I don't use it much, but it is nice to know it's there if you wanted to have a bare bones conversation and catch up really quickly.
