When there's enough of it, we don't have to (can't) do anything.

Also, for me, living in this part of the country, it simply just doesn't feel like winter without snow.

I think Mother Nature's going to relent a bit tomorrow night - snow showers in the forecast, but no accumulation.

This city shuts down when we get enough snow to really be a bother driving. And I don't have to shovel or salt thanks to my neighbors. But even when I did, it never bothered me too much. I just treated it like a race and did it as fast as possible.

EDIT: Like I said last winter. If I ever have the money I won't have a winter home in Florida, I'll have a winter home some place where it snows all the time. Snow is just too much fun.

To be fair, I actually don't mind shoveling snow. It's driving in it that bothers me. I'm just surprised you guys actually look forward to it. If you ski/snowboard I get it, but man, wanting snow just for the sake of snow... I guess to each their own.

Well a lot of places especially towards the south lets say starting from the maryland area down shut down when it snows enough. So a lot of people from those areas have fond memories of getting out of school/work. On the other hand some people have to go to work no matter what, so I can see both sides. I'm a snow lover though.

            It's snowing here today.

We might get an inch, and it's going to melt by the end of the weekend.

Our first minor snowfall of the winter season.

2-4 tonight and 1-2 during the day tomorrow. Then, this weekend, above freezing again.

Trust me, I don't like it either, but you need moisture in the ground to grow crops. If crops don't grow, expect to pay higher prices for groceries.

Today is going to nice. High up around 40 but got a storm coming in. Expected to get around 3-8 inches of snow. So, winter has finally decided to show up.

Supposed to get 8-19 inches of snow in the next 36 hrs. How fun. Like we don't have enough already.

It was a mix this morning then it turned really cold and snowed a bit. My present after work because of this was I got in my car and the wipers were still on with the one on the driver's side frozen to the window. The one on the passenger side wasn't frozen. The passenger side one moved and the driver's side one didn't, which means that the driver's side one is now ruined. The arm is all bent to hell and I think something in the connection is completely stripped.

SUPER EDIT: I figured out how to fix it myself. I feel like a real man.

Flipping worthless. Ended up with about a half inch, and I'm sure it'll be gone in another 24 hours.

Finally got some snow here, loving the 20 degree temps. People are acting like they've never seen snow before.

                            Sent from here to there.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Another day at the office, ho hum.

3 inches of snow on Jan 12th in Wisconsin and some people act like virgins all over again while driving.

The roads were bad, but some people were going 15 mph. Cmon, if you don't like driving in snow, stay home.

32° right now, got down to about 10° this morning, and it's supposed to be almost 60° on Sunday and Monday.
