I don't know about this situation, but when a policeman acts like that there could be another reason. The guy who got "robbed" could have a been a "regular". The cop may have already known him and known that he was a drunk and not everything he said could be trusted. Before I became a prosecutor I believed pretty much that what people told me was the truth. Now I don't believe a thing people say. It's a shame really, but the police have that same attitude. After you've been lied to so many times it's hard to believe some of these people's stories. Or this particular policeman was a jerk or he was having a bad day, that happens to all of us. I would give the police the benefit of the doubt most of the time.

Maybe the officer was just a little off. Maybe some personal issues or just an off day...or he just could be an ***.

but in any case obviously not all police are like that and it would be nice to have these random posts have some of the great things some officers do. Guess that wouldn't be "worthy" of a thread though......

This is an ignorant comment. My uncle is a cop, he puts his live on the line everyday to protect this city from idiots that try to make a living causing harm on others.

Thank you. My dad was a City officer, State Trooper for 20 years and Sheriff for 8. I've always been and always will be very proud of the work he did.

i meant i hate the bad cops..the ones that harrass me for skiiping school and staying out past the curfew and throwing snowballs at cars. the good ones i applaud. but the cops who act like there above the law i dont like, thats what i meant. there are good cops and bad cops i just hate the bad ones.

If that stuff is illegal then that's your problem.


Our cops: These kids that were between ages 11-16 by the looks of them were flipping people's garbage cans all the way down the street and making noise and stuff so I called the cops and they started questioning us about it like we knew something instead of sending a car out there. By the time the car showed up the kids were long gone.

Let's see..... skiiping school(I'll give you a pass on the double i....anyone and everyone makes mistakes ) but from your grammar and punctuation, you probably should have hit a few more classes and stayed awake for a few more than that:wink:....(even a few of those errors are acceptable...but yours is atrocious)
Staying out past curfew......hmmm......your town thinks it's important enough to set a curfew for minors, but you want police officers to ignore it.....then they are good.
.....and.....we've all thrown snowballs, eggs...whatever at cars....but we also knew that if we got caught we would get HARASSED!......probably by GOOD Police Officers.
Probably the same one who will put himself in harms way for you if you need it.

I think we can all agree that we would dislike bad police officers...and that there are bad police officers out there...but it seems like your definition of one is WAAAAAYYY off.

My work is in a somewhat bad neighborhood and as I was driving there last year I noticed a couple of kids makin snowballs...as I passed them I kept my eyes on them in the rear-view and wouldnt you know it the punks had the balls to throw a snowball at my car.

Needless to say, in one motion, I threw it in park and was outta my car before the snowball had landed. The look on these kids' face was priceless....I think one of em dropped a deuce.

They proceeded to run away, but one of em took a nasty spill on the sidewalk and I felt that was punishment enough...the punks didnt even stop see if there boy was okay (figures) and just kept runnin.

Man was I pissed that entire day....next time hndavis decides to throw a snowball at someone or their property I hope that person catches him in the act and he gets what he deserves.
