I am not one who says FOR SURE there is a such thing. But I will say that the things that happened had just about everyone in my family very freaked out at what was happening.Comment

Re: Maybe there is such a thing called ghosts...
True. True.
All I know is this...my ex moved down to Louisiana a couple years ago and she has already told me that her stepbrother thought he saw something in the backyard near the river. Then, she told me while in cosmetology school, an entire class down the hall from her had to get out of the room because all the chairs and whatever else that wasn't bolted down was being tossed around by nothing but air.Comment

Re: Maybe there is such a thing called ghosts...
Here's a pic that I took myself:

Family and I took a vacation and went to a "Haunted" castle. It was daylight and I still felt creeped out there. It was just a tour, telling us went happened there and how they refurbished it. I snapped photos of a lot of random stuff, caught some orbs but this is probably the most solid picture I have. Notice how low the arm is sticking out of the door frame. It's below the door knob, it couldn't be any of us who were there. No kids or anybody that short were with us. The lady who gave us the tour had said that the building used to run as a orphanage after the original owner sold it.Comment

Re: Maybe there is such a thing called ghosts...
You would think alot of these kids have never had contact with a girl. Keep it mature and I won't take them off, I never thought I would have to do this on this site. I thought most of us were mature adults here BUT some of you are making me think otherwiseComment

Re: Maybe there is such a thing called ghosts...
I'll say it again, women are crazy, she did it.My fiance and I usually sleep with a little stand up fan because the noise of our ceiling fan gets her on nerves. Last night was going to be pretty cold though (at least colder then it's been recently) so we didn't sleep with the ceiling fan on, so no need to sleep with the stand fan. So I woke up about 3am from wind hitting my face, I notice the fan is turned on and pointed right at us, full blast. I am thinking, she must have been getting annoyed by the ceiling fan. So I get up, go to the restroom and go to move the fan away from us, and she asked me if I could turn it off because it's cold. She then asked me why I had it on. I told her, I figured she turned it on because of the noise the ceiling fan was making. She then reminds me, that the ceiling fan is not on. So not only was the fan on and running on high towards it, it had to be plugged up too. The room is fairly dark at night and the only way to see how to plug it up is turning on a light. Any movement she makes, I wake up.
So somehow the fan got turned on. Not sure how, but pretty crazy.
Thats not to dismiss that there aren't ghosts. When I lived in an old apartment, I used to hear something whispering my name. And I always felt like I wasn't alone, strange feeling. I was working full time and going to shool full time and had a girlfriend out of town that I would visit so sleep was at a premium. So I figured it was just sleep deprivation. I didn't tell anyone about it.
I subleased the apartment to a friend when I moved away. About 6 months later I went out with my friends and my buddy asked me if I felt anything strange in that apartment because he said he kept hearing his name being called out at night and one night he felt like he was being physically held to his bed. This was unsolicited and then I revealed my story.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: Maybe there is such a thing called ghosts...
Dookie, I believe you, there is definitely something going on in my house. This morning while coming down the steps, I got the waft of cigarette odor in my face, there are no smokers in my house. It was brief but it was there, just the smell, I didn't see any smoke. This goes along with the other things that have been happening. It's seems like whatever it is it just effin with me, but does not want to harm me.
Stroeh, if that picture is real, that's insane, if I ever saw something like that, I'd poop myself.Comment

Re: Maybe there is such a thing called ghosts...
This was posted by a friend of mine on another forum:
"I completely do(believe in ghosts).
I live in a house that was built in 1830, and everyone that steps foot in it has at one time or another felt that they had someone with them/near them/looking at them.
I can't tell you the countless times I've heard incredibly loud gunshots or glass breaking inside the house, only to find absolutely nothing. The times that I have been in my bed at night, completely silet, to hear people walking up the stairs. It's unbelievable, but you simply learn to live with it.
I understand there are plenty of people that don't believe in ghost or anything to that nature, but if you have very little understanding/experience, don't knock it. "
"LOL, trust me, I wanted out the second it started happening. I was only in 5th grade when I first moved into this house, so it can, of course, be quite scary for a kid. I had NEVER believed in ghosts before I moved here (And same with ALL of my close friends/family).
But, like I said, after a while, that glass breaking, gunshots, walking becomes common to your life. It still happens constantly, but we really can't be worried too much. I usually check the house if I hear any strange noises still, just to make sure that it wasn't something real this one time. But whatever.
Like I said, this house was built in 1830, and I live in Arlington, MA. Anyone that knows history knows that in the 1700's, Arlington/Lexington/Boston, MA were where all the major battles vs. the British happened. More blood was shed in Menotomy (My town back in the 1700's, Arlington now) than in the battles of Lexington and Concord combined. I'm just oh so convinced that all these noises MUST tie in.
