I'm actually surprised, it's not like the game is running 30 FPS and you're playing with a 120 Hz TV (well you may have the latter, but the game is 60, thus things should feel "right").

      About when does it occur?

I've never had motion sickness playing FPS games but this is why I don't like them. I mean I get way too disoriented and have no clue what's going on.

Which explains why I usually go for 3rd person stuff.

You not in the lone. I get it after playing FPS for about an hour. This had never happened to me until I played COD4 a lot online. I don't get it from any other games but FPS.

I really don't play it anymore because of the motion sickness. I just hope I never get seizures from it. I can deal with the the vertigo.

For me it depends on the speed of the walking and the stupid "up and down" camera. I don't know if I'm some sort of superhero, but when I walk or run, things don't move up and down.

I cannot play Medal of Honor Frontline at all, and some other games are tough for more than 30 minutes to an hour (I think CoD4 was one). Slower games are fine.

I don't get motion sickness, but I do get disoriented & frustrated by them, hence why I don't play them. I tried COD4 after reading all the gushing reviews, but I just can't get into them due to the camera view. It almost makes my brain angry or something... it's very hard to explain.

I haven't had any problems with mo-sickness while playing on my own, but I do get a headache when I'm watching someone else play a FPS... I guess I need the control!

I wonder if television size and brightness are factors? My guess is that if your eyes are are moving less, then you're less likely to get sick. Anyone tried sitting further from the tv or turned on more lights in the room and gotten better results?

I used to get sick playing F-Zero X on the Gamecube. That thing was a blur.

I used to not be able to play FPS period. Now I get motion sickness every once in a while. Where are you sitting Motown when you play. Putting one foot on the floor helps (just like when you drink to much )

Breakdown on the Xbox gave me some terrible motion sickness. I couldn't even finish the first level it was so bad. I haven't had it happen in a very long time.

Normally I don't have any problems, but when it does start to rock the camera up and down I do get a bit disoriented.

Yeah, you're not alone, I've had this problem for years. Playing on TV or PC it makes no difference. I used to be fine and had no problems, but for some reason (getting old maybe?) it started to happen.

I've been told by more than a few people to try sitting a different distance from the TV. It never really worked for me, but some people swear it has helped them.

Several years ago I had this problem when playing FPS's, but I guess I've gotten used to the cameras or motion in these games and it doesn't give me much trouble now. I can only play for about an hour at a time, though, because I start getting a headache.
